Definitely not feeling the love.
Ouch. FA snark.

(Imagine if you had said yes when she asked. Even if you had no intention of doing so, perhaps her expression when faced with the possibility of having to "take back" a meal already served......)

Rarely on board, YYC & YVR MLL they often recognize me so I am greeted warmly. I like the Hilton, every time I check in they say thank you for being a Hilton Honours Diamond member, we appreciate your loyalty. Sure its scripted, but the good employees who are really good, say it in such a way that I actually believe them and then I have sweet dreams of being special

Maybe they're trialling it in YVR to see the FT reaction?

I would have said "Okay, thanks." in response to "I will just go take away the breakfast from another passenger".

Someone's going to be annoyed, and it's up to the FA to determine whether it will be the SE or the other person

Looks like next time I get a fruit plate I would have to take a bite of each slice the second It was served in case a SE changes his mind wanted to switch.
AKA The nuclear option.

Jokes aside I don't imagine the flight would be fun for you if you really respond that way, she/he would probably give you a bad service/Attitude(pun intended) for that. :P44

In all honestly all this stuff about "loyalty" is probably catered to drive psychological belief of attachment... which cause further spend with the airline. I Cruise a fair amount and made mid tier NCL status and when they say something like "Welcome back, we______ you for being_________" Felt pretty fake.

If they could simply allow for people to order the meal in advance, we would not have these type of issue at all.

I occasionally get recognised for SE status on board in J, rarely (if ever) at the MLL, and I have never been recognised in Y. Ever. So if there's some concerted new effort, I'm not seeing it.

Same here. Never been recognized at MLL or in Y, and just a few times in J by SD.

This is simply another case of consistent inconsistency that AC is endearingly known for. That's about it.

At least some AC employees are going the extra mile in recognizing SEs... I'd say it'd be a good consistent inconsistency. Although making it a consistent consistency would be better ^

I'm hoping I'll start getting this again when I'm 1MM... Right now, I fly mainly through stations where they all know me, so there's no surprise. Often, on board, the SD is triple-checking the seats when taking meal choices and asks me "are you ___"...

I guess not
I just got scolded by a young guy working the desk at the YVR dom MLL. Checked in with him, he never looked up once, I use the lower floor lavatory and then proceed upstairs. He loudly calls me out thinking that I am sneeking in. After showing him my BP a second time, he never apologized and obviously didn't thank me for my loyalty. So I suggested he make eye contact next time.

This has happened to me and I was told the other pax were SE's too. When I went to the washroom, I checked the manifest and the the other pax were not SE's, but staff. I find a lot of AC problems are from few bad staff that only keep their jobs because of the union.

I echo bad service for some bunch to be quite honest... Once I patiently waited for 15 minutes while a FA trying (and not knowing how to) set up baby seat. I asked if I can be excused for a few seconds so I can pass through for washroom (I was at the breaking point)... And the answer I got "Can't you see I'm doing something here?"

Ok, so according to another post I read today, I'm supposed to know who you are....but your alias makes it difficult to decipher.

I haven't read the threads about you yet...

But now I'm curious....

Can you point me to the threads or pm me...?

Thanks...
