You will be asked during on-line check-in. My wild guess is CAD 1300 to 1500. If you are seriously interested, you should do OLCI right at the 24 hour mark.

PS Welcome to FT!

Thanks! I usually fly standby on employee passes, so no status!

When are you flying on which flight number? Once it's T-24h you can check the upgrade list through the app to see how many open seats there are. More J seats = less cost, normally!

Value/Co-Pay on eUpgrades don't seem great?

Hey FT,

Interesting observation the other day...

Flying YYZ > DUB, to just straight up upgrade to J from Y on OLCI, it was $1175
To do the eUpgrade it was 11 credits and $750.

Doesn't seem too great on value there.

Is this the norm?

It is quite the norm, but dependent on route and load.

Between LMUs and Bid Upgrades, AC has really deprioritized eUprades (except for Latitude fares). Frustrating as a customer, but I understand the business case.

I may be asleep here but since when is YYZ DUB a TPAC? DUB is Ireland? It should be $500 copay? 11 credits seems low too.

LMUs vary, I’ve seen it around $600 on a TATL, I’ve also seen $5000 myself plus examples on the LMU thread.

This question can be applied to any flight on any given day.

If you do the same flight sometime in the near future, I will bet that you will get a different LMU offer.

What were the loads in J when you were offered the LMU?

What was your original fare? Which fare class was it?

Also, the value of an LMU might not be worth it to you under your circumstances, but it might be worthwhile to someone else.

You might want to consider reading this thread:

might have been 21 credits, I checked exactly at the 5 day prior mark, and I’m about the board right now, so a little foggy.

original fare was tango (sad face) so I can see why the price was high on the LMU.

Milk report back in two weeks when I peak at cost on the way home.

Oh yeah I think Tango may be $750/$850 actually, on the short term promotion AC are running.

TBH, while I don’t know what you paid I think that’s about right from Tango, at least compared to a P fare.

At least it’s only 6 hours, and not Rouged yet.

Does anyone have any insight on what a LMU would cost from YYZ to LAS? I believe this is a Rouge flight on a 321 or 763 if that matters.

Not sure if this qualifies since it was free. Wife and I were originally seated yesterday in 15A and 14C on #546 PDX-YYZ. Asked at the gate if we could sit together and we ended up in 2D and 2F...no charge! Neither of us have status and we were in a very low fare bucket. Pleasantly surprised for the upgrade

Flying on #739 last week (YYZ-SFO) in Y on a X ticket, we were able to upgrade to Economy Plus for $160 each. Money well spent, in my opinion at least.

Two good AC experiences. Do I consider myself lucky?

Economy Plus is a United marketing term.

Are you talking about Premium Economy (the cabin) or preferred seats at the front of economy?
