I don’t think the soups at YVR Domestic have changed in quite a while... it always seems to be the minestrone and Thai curry...

YVR Domestic - January 2019

I was there just between thinned of breakfast and the start of lunch

Some breakfast items. There was also oatmeal of course.

And then the lunch. I assume sometime after I left they brought out the warm flatbread. There were also the 2 soups.

I was the AC YYZ International MLL on Friday, 08th March around 6.30pm. Offerings seem to have improved.
Ginger chicken (Oriental style), steamed rice, Green beans with onions, Miso Cod, deconstructed Lasagna, Edamame, Tortilla chips with salsa, Bread, cookies, salad, yoghurt. They had to refill the rice. My group liked the ginger chicken
And FWP - please stop putting shot measure on the port.

Most MLLs have 2-4 fridges with different content.
Sorry just realized that I posted in the wrong thread. Mod please move the posts, thanks!

it was YYZ international. That’s what offered in the two fridges, one in the dinning area, another one at the seating area.

They still offer coke/spirit from the dispensers, but much fewer types of canned drinks in the fridge.

I don't think I've ever been in a lounge that had a canned offering that overlapped with it's self-serve fountain.

YUL domestic also doesn't have cans of Coke because there's a fountain.

There used to be more types of canned drinks at YYZ international MLL, but now some become the fountain, and some are gone. At least cranberry juice and ginger ale are now gone completely.

I was at the LAX MLL lounge yesterday morning around 10am. Quite crowded with mostly non-AC Star Alliance pax. Not much in the way of breakfast - I believe they had some mini muffins, yogurt and cereal. I left for something more substantial.

As a weekly commuter between YYZ and YOW, I'd like to comment on how poor and underwhelming the offering is. On my OW morning flight from YYZ, the hot breakfast is poor quality and rarely hot; Decent choice if you add in the porridge, fruit and yogurt. Not enough coffee machines, and the staff can be slow clearing away other's mess
The lunchtime / afternoon offering is woeful with a couple of veggie salads, dips and two soups. Like other readers, it depends on how fresh the soup is - and Italian Wedding is best though people nick the meatballs early on. Given they are Kraft packet soups - its hardly gourmet and the bread is often stale or hard.
The only saving grace in the lounges (in licensing hours) is the draft beer and the inclusion of guiness which is my favourite drink.

However comparing AC to other star alliance carriers and some of the one world carriers such as BA - the AC offering is WAY behind the rest of the pack. On doing London to Toronto, BA are miles ahead across the piece with Champagne, decent hot breakfasts, lunch,, choice of fruit - pretty much everything. In a monopoly position, I can't decide if Air Canada lagging is taking their eye off the ball, being tight with money or they just don't care as we're a captive audience - especially on domestic sectors
