Reminds me, when I boarded FRA-YYZ, the blanket was used and stuffed back into the plastic bag. Same with guy on the aisle seat. We both looked awkwardly at it and since he'd wiped down the whole seat and table with wet wipes, I know it grossed him out too. As I was early on board, I swapped for a sealed one in the seat in front, while he swapped with an unoccupied middle. I don't know if that was allowed, but it was disgusting. You've added a whole new level of potential disgust

On AC1039 today to DEN, and GoGoInflight is operative on this plane.

What a pleasant surprise!

And it's an Embraer. So maybe the rollout is underway.

I think all but one of the E90s I was on last week had wifi. But I wasn't going to pay $5 for one hour or $10 for the whole flight.

Gogo's website does not offer that for AC.
They do offer an all-airline monthly pass for $70, but that was also not presented when I was in the air, and I didn't want to spend $70 only to find it wasn't valid on AC.

ooooo Good point! I didn't notice that it's not for AC only.

Maybe if someone has it they can confirm the all airline one works with the new AC systems?

Well, if the crowd wants to fund me $70 while I'm in air, I could take it on.I could sign out and try and sign in again.

I take PayPal.

The question is whether the all-airline pass works on AC, and if so, why isn't it offered when you're in the air? If it works, they lost out on $70 from me.

Currently at 38,000 ft on C-FHNL (Fin 321) from YHZ-YUL. Saw the Wifi logo when boarding, as soon as the seatbelt sign turned off I connected. The login page knows what flight you're on, showed this flight as 59 minutes, and offered me $5 for one hour, or $10 for this segment. $5.75 later (HST!) I'm online.

Internet speed is acceptable (~70KB/sec down). I'll admit I tried to make a FaceTime audio and video call just to see if I could. Audio was useless, as the engine noise overpowered everything. The video call showed the first frame, but nothing thereafter. Probably for the best. iTunes Radio streaming worked perfectly until we crossed the New Brunswick/Maine border (probably a coincidence).

For those more technically inclined, my external IP is based out of San Diego, registered to Aircell LLC. I'm getting ping times of 150ms - 250ms to a server I manage in Halifax, 250ms-300ms to London (UK).
