Hera, for the Aeroplan Plus cards, AMEX has to post to Aeroplan, so it's not instantaneous, as it is with the Rewards cards...give it a day, but usually it takes 2 days, and then the Aeros will finally post to your AP account. Congrats on getting the 'full' tank!

A friend of mine just got his 2nd statement, and the remaining 25k welcome points were on it. Maybe they are getting it together a bit faster now that they finally started awarding them.

Interesting... my wife just got her 2nd statement too and no points. So some still have to wait.

It seems they fixed their system for reporting welcome bonuses. Many people reported received the full 30k welcome bonus miles now. Lets see if they will report the 30k in the statement right after reaching the spend requirement for new card holders.

I have a friend who signed up for this card

He got on his first statement
bonus points - 0 10,000
Welcome Bonus - 0 15,000
Bonus Points - 0 5,000

On his 2nd statement he got
Welcome Bonus 0 5,000

How is that possible?

Heh, it looks like AMEX IT 'over-fixed' their signup points system!!

Or, did your friend call/Secure-Message AMEX at all during the first/second month of cardholdership? If so, it may be some courtesy points to make up for your friend's extreme disappointment with...umm...wait, he got all 30K in the first statement last month!? Hahaha, scores!!

I bet we'll see more funny numbers next month

I'll get my #3 statement (technically #4 but I had no balance on my #1 statement so it was skipped) which should hopefully show 25K (I got 5K already before spending $500)

On the other hand, I'm happy their referral system/points work correctly
I can't imagine tracking down referral bonuses @@

30000 aeroplan points no fee amex aeroplan gold card through a refferal

I don't think people have ever been this excited to get a credit (charge) card statement. Lots of people dred getting a bill in the mail.

I wish that Aeroplan points earned with the Amex cards would show points in real time as the regular MR earning cards do. Even if they only showed on the Amex site and still continued to post on a monthly basis when the statement generates.

Did he send out referrals? The first one could be a referral bonus.

Referral bonuses are usually listed as such. If you look at the points breakdown page on the statement it will list the general source of the points.

I received my 2nd statement, with 2 x 10000 as "bonus miles". On the first statement, I had nothing. So it now comes up to a total of 20000 bonus miles.

This is totally different from what we have heard about how Amex post the bonus miles.

Another AeroplanPus gold card in my family received the remaining 25k this morning without contacting Amex.

My partner received his full 30K bonus on his first statement that was generated yesterday. Well, they actually gave him 40K, but then reversed 10K out as a correction.

Oh man, how can there be so many different ways to award a simple bonus?!?!

A reversal for this card or any other Aeroplan card is unprecedented AFAIK. Did this reversal happen on the same statement, or did you see this debited from the actual AE account?
