I'll be crossing 150k AQM for the first time on December 28th and will also be choosing AP miles.

Now if I only knew how to use my AP miles effectively...I've never booked an award ticket before.

At this time of the year, most threshold gifts are gone except for miles, even for 200k and 250k thresholds.

Yep.

Sorry everyone for taking your choices away.

First come, first served.

They are at 150k miles for SEs, and I know I have never had that many miles. However, In going from E to SE twice, I have certainly crossed the 60k and 90k mile thresholds a couple of times. Maybe there were no threshold gifts below 100k miles back then?
Correct. IIRC threshld gifts at the lower AQM levels were introduced ~2-3 years ago, shortly after AC moved from the Prestige/Elite/SE system to the current P25K/E35K/E50K/E75K/SE100K system.

And when I get to 200k next week, I can blame you

ps...hopefully CRA is not lurking as might the nifty gifts attract their attention as in-kind compensation - or should I hit myself for even thinking of such a thing

It makes me wonder though, how many 350k AQM/year flyers are there? I would think 200k flyers are already in the minority, yet most can only choose miles as gifts.

I just passed 150k and the choices were $250 Amazon gift card or 25k AE miles.

You aren't taking the last one in each category. I can assure you of that.

Oh. I thought I was the first and only one.
Thanks for clarifying.

I have been facetious throughout this thread... so not sure why you had to even tell me this!

In a short 20 days you will be nothing like the rest of us.
I may even be ahead of you for 10 hours as I fly 6am January 1st and connect 8 am YVR.
