Dates in brackets indicate planned start of rouge service (either as a new route or replacing mainline service). ML placed before a date indicates the date that service is reverting to mainline.
All Airbus A319/A321 service is in the new Premium Rouge configuration with 2x2J seats. All other routes are Boeing 767-300ER aircraft in a 24J/258Y layout.
Airport codes in blue indicate that these routes are Boeing 767-300ER aircraft for all services.
Airport codes in red indicate that these routes are split between Boeing 767-300ER and Airbus services.
Airport codes in black indicate that these routes are Airbus aircraft for all services.
Routes are organized based on the established rouge bases of YYZ, YUL, YYC, and YVR

And below that item about Duncan (using the link) is an item about upgrading the Premium Rouge experience including gourmet food! Don’t even get that on international flights in J.

Noticed while looking at the updated schedule that was just posted in the '737 Max Effects on AC Thread' that 1680 YYJ-YYZ is switching to Rouge A320 for a brief period this summer. Didn't realize that Rouge had received any 320s yet, so looked on the AC fleet website and looks like the first was just received this week. C-GFCH flew from LCQ (Lake City Gateway) to YYZ on the 22nd. Haven't seen any pictures posted of this bird yet, but I assume it's been repainted. Looks like it came from storage, previously owned by Interjet up until January.

YOW goes Rouge
Seems every AC flight exYOW south of DCA is being converted from mainline A320 to Rouge A319

Lots of previous mainline flights are rouge. Even trunk routes (YYC-YYZ, YVR/YYC-YUL) have significant Rouge. You don't ground 24 aircraft (with 12 more expected to be in service) without some creativity. Sucks but that's what we got for now.

It's not "for now." AC already rouged a huge number of its domestic and transborder flights long before the MAX situation arose. Eventually, rouge will replace ALL mainline routes ... as older pilots, FAs and SDs retire they will not be replaced by well-paid mainline employees, but by "rouge crews" earning half as much for the same work.

They'll route the 319s YOW-Florida-YOW-Carribbean-YOW most days. Off the blocks 6am, back in YOW around 1230a. It was just a matter of time.
I see Halifax has gone Rouge as well. They added some freq to get the critical mass.

The airline exists to create profits for shareholders. If they can cut labour costs in half, don't think for one second they won't do it. Business travelers put up with 777 HD seating, reduced FF benefits and a world of other enhancements AC has introduced over the years, they will adapt to this as well. Because the choices are AC or Westjet, and that's it.
If you think for one second that AC gives a hoot about you or that your opinion somehow matters to them, then you, my friend, are the one with the crazy ideas. Calin has made it abundantly clear that profit trumps all else.

My opinion may or may not matter to AC too, but I have received invitations 3x in the last in the last 12 years to discuss what I like/dislike flying with AC. I would hope these round table discussions with other FF would make it up the food chain.
So, does AC care about their pax. I would think that’s a yes no answer. Yes to high rev FF, but no to low end traveller where $5 will cause them to switch airlines. These lower end pax is where WS excelled, but time/cost caught up to WS on this category, which is why their stock price has fallen and they were forced to changed their business model.
