There is also a HNL-EWR witl lie-flat seat which takes off at the same time the HNL-IAD originally took off (8pm), but there is no award seat, so I am not sure they could have one...

Yes it seems that HNL-IAD is lie flat, on a 767-400.
Btw - what's your routing that includes HNL as part of a RTW?

Cool, I guess SIN and AKL are in the same IATA zone eh? Who would have thought.

I wonder if NRT-HNL-ORD-YUL is valid on return with NRT as POT, suspect it should be... need to check the MPM at some point.

Word from AP was:

SYD-SIN-NRT-ORD-YYZ

and

SYD-NRT-ORD-YYZ

and (open jaw)
AKL-NRT-ORD-YYZ

Not valid.

The MPM from SYD to YYZ is tight. But if you can get up to BNE your options are wide open.

Have you tried LAX instead of ORD ?
What about SYD-SIN-NRT-YYZ ?

Otherwise, this is not ideal, but you can buy the ORD-YYZ...
Still surprised however...

Is it because MPM from BNE is higher? GCmap tells me that BNE-SIN-NRT-ORD-YYZ is only 80 or so miles shorter than from SYD.

I would be content if I could book everything up to ORD then buy the ORD-YYZ segment. LAX and SFO are all giving me Y only.

I don't have the info on-hand, but I find booking out of BNE gives much more in the way of options.

I booked BNE»TPE»YYZ all in J for example, and there were SQ options as well. All in J.

I was also able to book online, saving the hassle of calling in.

Got a flight up to BNE for about 120$.

Just note that if you are flying on EVA, they do not operate daily into YYZ.

^ Wow, thanks for the help! I was planning a visit to the Gold Coast anyways!

It does look like the online engine is willing to let me do BNE-SIN-NRT-???-YYZ

Only thing is BNE-SIN is on SQ A330, which is still good. Because of the way times are scheduled, looks like I can nab SIN-NRT on the 788!

(Fingers crossed while on hold with AP right now)

2nd call, more disappointment

BNE through NRT is impossible, having tried no fewer than 10 permutations with the agent, routing through ORD, IAD, etc. What I was getting before online was an error on my part.

The valid combo she could find was BNE-SIN-PVG-YYZ. (Ouch, scam charges!!!)

EDIT: AP website spits out the following valid combos:

BNE-SIN-TPE-YYZ (no scam charges with EVA)
BNE-SIN-PEK-YYZ
BNE-TPE-PEK-YYZ
BNE-SIN-HKG-YYZ

Looks like I'll have to settle for BNE-SIN-TPE-YYZ (not bad on BR!)

Have you tried BNE»TPE»YYZ on BR? or BNE»SIN»TPE»YYZ on SQ then BR?

As per edited post, it works.

Now the million dollar question is if SYD-SIN-TPE-YYZ works, considering its only +100 miles more than from BNE.
