$546. Probably my dates, which aren't terribly flexible.

I got $456 to LAX.

Well I finally gave up on SQ, Vayama wouldn't let me book any of those flights saying availability has changed etc etc. Ended up booking a one way to BOS via TG and DL in Feb 2013

Seems we're getting opposite prices. What dates to LAX?

EDIT: Doesn't matter, using this page:

http://www.koreanair.com/local/kr/gp...if_ni_main.jsp

It seems SFO flights on the 777 have the latest F suites. Screw it, San Fran it is, booking now.

couldn't resist either, finally jumped at my first mistake fare about booked RGN-BKK-ICN-SFO in december, OW for $250. looking forward to this potential vacation, but at the same time not getting TOO excited yet, since there's a distinct possibility it won't be honored (trying my best reverse jinx here)

looks like to KE fare to LAX is in R, flexible, but for some reason, vayama is nonrefundable. What about on BT?

If you play with multi city, you can price some add on Alaska flights to Seattle and such from LAX/SFO (~$262 one way) to get the new seats.

In my younger days I no doubt would have done that--but I'd be dragging a then 17 month old along, so we'll "slum" it to avoid the extra leg.

Got my ticket #s and such from Vayama, so we'll see what happens next...

Vayama shows all fares as nonrefundable. You need to fight for it. You can get a refund if you insist that they check fare rules, however, $25 booking fee is not refundable and they may charge you $100 refund fee.

Smile ANA too

CheapAir has Rangoon to Chicago entirely on other carriers (Thai, connecting to United, connecting to ANA in Toyko) for $836 in BUSINESS. Even if Korean does not honor this fare, what are the chances that ANA will?

I booked on Vayama, RGN to Vancouver, using Vietnam Airlines from RGN to Hanoi, and Hanoi to ICN, in coach, then into First on Korean. It was less expensive at $284 with tax and insurance.

But I am thinking using United and ANA might be the better option in terms of having the fare honored.

The only thing holding me back on this one is worrying about what Vayama are going to do if KE cancel these tickets. I'm a bit suspicious about any site that charges $100 for a refund regardless of airline rules.

Regardless, the fare code is still an R fare code, so I guess we will see what happens.

I tried, so that I could just come back to my apartment in Seoul, but it wouldn't let me. I do get a long layover though. Come home and take a nap.....
