KLM has extra legroom and recline.

EC on Delta will also give you free spirits (free on KLM) and HBO.

First KLM experience since 20 years a few days ago.
No upgrades from Y to Y+ or Y+ to J (Y about 95% charge, Y+ 66%, J 50%) either on OLCI, checking or in plane (even salvage one).
No physical separation. (770-200 PH BQL).
Surely does worth the money.
Return factor to KLM about 0. (Horific service: Barefoot in the galley, Trays on the carpet? Passenger interaction near to 0 (I speak English, French? German and Spanish)...

Where did you fly from? And where to?

I myself am not too crazy about KLM, but I flew them a lot during my NW days out of NRT to Europe, and they have always been professional and courteous, I have no beef at all with the crews at all. I complained about off duty staff taking business class seats, otherwise I was ok. So, I am baffled about your problems, because honestly, I do miss KL a bit( most of all because I don't get the houses anymore, but that's another story!! ).

LIM AMS

Forgot to tell that I still don't received any communication (SMS or mail) about the one hour delay due to a late departure of the plane from AMS (so quite previsible) but as you say it's another story and not EC problem. 37 segemnts FB this year 1st KLM LC (2 very short CC AMS BRU) and don't thing I would use more KLM on LC.

Is row 12 on the MD-11, which is the first economy seat, more cramp because of the extra recline of the seat in front of it?

Seatguru doesn't show row12 to be the first economy row on any MD-11 setup that KLM flies. Generally the first few Economy rows should be better (Y+) - so row12 should be a good pick, if you can choose it..

Seatguru does not, but klm.com does.

Last may, I wanted to figure out but I was upgraded to Y+. So I did not experience the PAX in front reclining his/her seat.
To be safe, I would go for row 14.

Updated price list

The updated price list can be found here.
This one also includes fares for certain triangular / add-on routes.

Does EC also provide priority boarding? I know it does on DL, but is this benefit also extended to the interrogation process for USA-bound flights?

Not normally. At outstations priority boarding is normally more enforced than at AMS.
Based on my experience when flying KL priority boarding is normally only given to Elites and Business passengers.

Priority boarding ought to be given to EC pax on flights ex-US where Delta is groundhandling agent.

It is my understanding that where zone boarding is conducted by Delta, EC pax are in Zone 2 (business pax are in Zone 1).
