Or can I purchase now and the bonus will bump from 140% to 150% after 24-hours of registering on IF?

If this is not the forum to ask this question I apologize. It's my first post
You have to register on IF AND register for the bonus on their Award Store. They will send you an email confirmation for the 10% bonus.

My apologies if this has been asked before but can we redeem star alliance award tickets purely with purchased lifemiles? Or is there a minimum amount of "earned" miles so to speak that needs to be used as well

You can redeem without a single mile flown/earned.

If this is every two weeks, then I assume this is the regular value of the mile. I'd never buy under this value.
Now we need something like 180% to start thinking about buying.

Dammit, just bought 45K yesterday during miles+cash ticketing. Would've been $56 less today.

Given how desperate LMs seem to be to sell miles does anyone think a mass of members (ie flyertalk) members all emailing LMs saying they would buy miles if, say, LMs allowed mixed cabin redemptions? They might not realise restrictions like this are keeping them from selling more miles?!

they seem more and more desperate.

Since they devalued I won't buy and let them sit in my account. I will only buy and book.

It seems they stuffed up a good thing when they started to get a bit too greedy, now they obviously aren't selling as easily as they used to.
