Yes this feels just like waiting for the bonus points mall to get back up and running after it was down for "maintenance". Darn it!!

You guys need to be far more positive.... the last transfer i did was 8 weeks ago to Virgin Atlantic (30% Extra), thats very recent activity for bonuses!!
+ Apparently there was a Hawaiian Airlines bonus only 4 weeks ago.

These are good signs that AMEX have activity in the Extra Bonuses.
Remember this is an Extra MR Bonus and we all should be super grateful to get it.

I also want them to launch the BA Bonus, I was lucky enough to hit both the last 50% Bonuses on BA, it was Awesome !!! So lets be a little patient and the BA bonus will soon come.

Its one of the Major Extra Benefits of AMEX MR for me

Why would it be an "extra" bonus?
I'm not sure why we should be "super grateful" to get a transfer bonus...

I spoke to an Amex person a few weeks back when cancelling my plat card - she said there was no BA bonus imminent - from the tone of her voice I got the impression she knew there was nothing on the horizon for quite some time (perhaps she might not know but that was my impression). At the time I was debating keeping my plat card for another month as had to do a transfer of MRs upon cancellation - based on the discussion, I chose to cancel the card and do the transfer with no bonus.

I am sceptical that frontline CSR's have this type of information, but it makes sense that the bonuses have become smaller and less frequent. In April 2010 (when our history begins) a British Pound cost about $1.52. Now it costs about $1.70.

I was specifically told by a CSR that they do not have this type of information.

I have until October to transfer my UK MR points to UK BA Avios - has there been an Avios bonus for the UK in the last 6 months? I'm trying to calculate the chances of there being a bonus before then.

Thanks vinyalwhl.

The wiki is accurate for "USA Transfer Bonus History" only... or am I missing something?

Wiki at top of forum....Also you should be familiar with investments advice about mutual funds, equities. SEC requires funds to tell investors that a fund's past performance does not necessarily predict future results. The same can apply to Amex MR and BA

This is the longest we have been without a BA transfer bonus. Amex must be trying really hard to devalue the MR points.
