You can also find this by simply logging into your MR account and checking out the "transfers" front page. Bonuses are highlighted very clearly.

I take that back. Apparently under the new layout, they no longer highlight the transfer bonuses.

American Express is inconsistent. This page does not show the Virgin Atlantic bonus, although you can see it if you click the VS logo. Often there is a chevron above the logo if there a promotion.

As a practical matter there is always a sticky thread in this forum when there is a promotion, otherwise this one is sticky:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/ameri...a-history.html

-and- any new offer will be mentioned in that thread. Therefore, if you Subscribe to the thread you are unlikely to miss a transfer bonus for USA Membership Rewards.

Hopefully BA is next... it's been 5 months since the last BA promo ended. From what I see in the WIKI, that's the longest stretch without a BA promo in over 3 years.

Are there ever months with no promotion?

Not seeing anything today, so I'll probably just dump them into JetBlue before I close the card. Unless I see something good on Amazon.

Offers pop-up anytime, not necessarily on the first of the month...

I think Jan-Feb-Mar of this year there were no transfer bonuses. (to an airline)
There may have been a hotel partner, or gift card redemption offer... I don't follow those too closely.

Something will come along... how much is the annual fee on your card?
If you keep it a couple months after the fee, and then cancel, is the fee pro-rated and refunded?

Thanks for the insight here, that is most helpful.

It's $95, but I only got it to churn it for the points. It's only 57K points, I'm thinking I'll sign up for the JetBlue AMEX for another 20K and send my points to them.

Yep, my thinking as well. Even 20% would be nice.

I think the lack of Delta offers is because they don't want to undercut the value of the co-branded DL Amex cards.

I hope they do a BA offer in the next couple of days. I have 118K points sitting in my account from platinum card that I need to cancel by June 7th I really want the bonus and will be kicking my self for not transferring during the most recent bonus window if there's no bonus over the next few days. I was hoping for June 1 to trigger an event...but that came and went...Oh well. You live you learn, I guess

Why would BA want to undercut their chase cards?
