Legacy US Airways "East" "Transatlantic" ETOPS version of Boeing 757-200 (B75E)
Up front: This aircraft had three rows of 2 x 2 "Envoy" class 60" pitch, 19.5" wide angled flat seats in 2 x 2 configuration (12 seats).
Seat 1-C from aztimm
- Seat 3A is said to have impaired recline
- 3D will usually be blocked for the PNF (Pilot Not Flying) on transatlantic flights.
- The forward cabin has one lav forward and port (left).
In Economy: Mostly 32" pitch, 17" width seats in 3 x 3 configuration (170 seats).
The good:
- The greatest seat pitch is in 7A, B, C and F, with no seats close in front of these because of the exit row. 6C and D are in midst of the exit row.
- Row 24 are exit row seats with great seat pitch.
- All these are narrower, with immovable arm rests holding the folded tray tabe. Exit row seats can be colder. Under seat bags may be restricted in the seats in front of you.
- Row 23 is against the aft bulkhead in this cabin section, against the lavs; they do not recline.
- Row 32 is the last row and close to the galley and it's attendant noise.

Dublin to PHL now a 757?!
Just noticed that my flight next April has gone from an A330 to 757.
Not such a good flight now in business.

So essentially AA are now just going to fly crappy 757's from Dublin?

I have been checking pretty closely for this from CLT to DUB. Have a vacation flight in May and 2 good biz seats on 332. Sure hope it does not change on mine.

Thanks. Bad weather caused a last minute re-route and AA accommodated us on BA over the water, so managed to avoid this 757 product. I don't expect to have the same luck on the return ticket next week. The sleeper seat on BA was a nice unexpected surprise given I was anticipating flying the LUS 757.

It may vary by day of the week. I flew over on the 15th and it was a full 757. I'm flying back tomorrow and it is supposed to be a 330.

An equipment substitution from SJU-CLT got me my first ride in one of these birds. Above all, I'm happy that I wasn't in row 4 of the scheduled 321, which would have put DW and me in Y of a packed 6-across and a token fare reimbursement of AA's choosing. The seat wasn't really comfortable for me, but that's just me. My legs were a little too long for the leg- and footrest, so all things being equal, I would have preferred the LUS 321. However, it wasn't bad for a 3 hour domestic F trip. I don't think that I'd care to spend much longer in one (have CLT-SXM in 3 weeks on one of these... praying for a swap to an A330-keep dreaming.) Besides, it's probably better than the LAA 757 with 24 F seats that I get on the return SXM-JFK trip. Originally a CIP 763, then a 75L but too many IDG, so...

DUB - PHL 757 seating query
We're currently planning a trip to the USA and are considering flying on AA from Dublin to Philadelphia (AA723) in Business Class.
I've looked everywhere on the AA website but can't find much information on type of seat used on this internationally configured 757.
Can the forum advise if this is a true 'lie flat' seat? Is there anything that we should be aware of?
Many thanks.

If it is the 757, it is not a lie flat seat. If it is the A330-200, it is a great lie flat seat. American runs both on the PHL-DUB route, so you need to check which one it is.

Edit: have been able to look up the AA schedule on the Iberia website and it shows AA as operating an A330 on 24th December - happy days!

We've flown on the A330-200 in US Airways Envoy Class, which is now AA business class. The seats are very comfortable.

757 business/First seats from DUB
Hi,
Seems to be a conflict of information on sites as to decent seats in business / first on a transatlantic flight from Dublin to PHL.
According to the seat map on aa.com I am seeing 12 seats first/business and then a small area for coach before the main coach area
I am trying to establish the best seats for the TA in business/ first
Anyone have any thoughts.
Sadly this changed from an A330!
