Anyone hear from Flight62?

I seem to remember she took a promotion within the company, but I figured we'd see her post from time to time. Maybe thats forbidden now that she's in management, or whatever...?

I'd have to review the latest corporate ethics handbook, but the one in effect when I retired prohibited posting in online forums and identifying yourself as an employee. The language was a little squishy however so could be read as only doing it from company computers was forbidden.

To answer, yes. But I have a funny story about this one:

I was flying PHL-LAX in F some time in July and was getting chatty with the guy behind me. As we're passing over (what I thought was) Las Vegas, I said, "I bet that's the Las Vegas strip." His response? "No way! How much you wanna bet."

I figured I didn't want to take the guy's money on the plane, so I just said $5. Anyways, we asked the FA and sure enough, it was LAS. Who knew you didn't have to goto the casinos to win $$ in Vegas

Well, it's nice to be missed.

MR. Flight62 is still a flight attendant. I wasn't ready to sacrifice my quality of life.

I am currently on a medical LOA until Dec. 31, 2010. I was diagnosed with anal cancer, which is VERY rare, and start chemo and radiation this Monday. The prognosis is good. My PETSCAN showed no spread of cancer or cancer in the lymph nodes, unlike Farah Faucette, who died from the same thing.

The tumor is the size of a walnut and has caused considerable pain. I am on an 8 hour regimen of morphine to keep me comfortable until the tumor begins to shrink. And then, the radiation will leave me with discomfort because of it's location.

Overall, a TRUE pain in the butt!!!

I have a wonderful friends and family and am very positive. I would appreciate your positive energy thrown my way and prayers.

Right now, airline stuff has to take backseat.

I am happy to see that OFFICIAL ASK THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT THREAD has been successful.

Take care everyone and happy flying.

Flight62, you will always be in our "flight path" of thoughts. Hope your pain in the ... ah... butt becomes nothing more than a tail wind.

Special thoughts are scheduled and in the flight plan for you. :-:

Thanks! I needed a good laugh. I don't find any of the many butt jokes as offensive. They give me a reason to smile and laugh at it all.

Awwwwwww, so sorry to hear your news flight62, I'm sending lots of positive vibes and mental hugs your way. But forgive me for not offering to kiss it and make it better, I suspect I may not be the first ;-) You will be much missed while you are off.

Sounds like you are in good hands though, and may they always be warm.

Hugs
Sally

Now THAT was funny!

If it makes everyone feel better, no chance in telling a passenger to kiss my a#^*!

Whoops. Yeah, MR. Sorry about that. I guess all these years, I never knew, and just made an assumption. Bad one at that.

Take care and keep us informed how you're doing from time to time.

I think I can speak for all the FTers here in saying that we're sorry you've gone from dealing with lots of pains in the rear end (i.e., us) to this one other kind. And we hope you're well enough soon to return to us old a**holes.

But take care of yourself first! That's #1. We'll be waiting patiently for you for as long as it takes, ready to demand our drinks and snacks just as soon as you're healthy and flying again (well maybe just a little bit impatient).
