US is doing sweeps, the first sweep was 2-25 and covered many mileage purchase and toolbar use dates pre 2-25.

As others are reporting, my 25% bonus miles credited overnight. My first toolbar miles credited the previous night.

No sign, yet, of the 500 miles for first time toolbar use.

F & C availability on UA, and C on NZ (transpac) is rare as hen's teeth. Better availability on OZ (via ICN) or TG (via BKK) in C.

Maintenance

Noticed that the buy / gift / share sites are under "routine maintenance". Does anyone know if this is rare? Hope the promo is not ending before the due date, as I have to wait for my next paycheck to buy the miles :P!

My 2/21 purchase was not included as yet in the sweep. I could not resist. I just got the miles anyway. Not as good as last year, but not a bad value at 1.5c. Perhaps US and AA will merge anyway and I will get a few more VIPs...

Does anyone know if the Toolbar promo is explicitly for USA only or for whole North America? My account is based in YVR of course and I'm not sure if my cat still has a US based account somewhere.

If Canada is included that would be nice, if not it just changes the ratio slightly.

Cheers

You're out of luck, but the cat'll be fine:

Dividend Miles members based in the 50 United States and Puerto Rico can earn an additional 25% bonus on their "buy miles" purchase by downloading, installing and completing at least three valid searches using the Dividend Miles Toolbar during the above dates. To qualify, a member's Dividend Miles account must have been registered with a United States or Puerto Rico address on 2/1/2011.

Those north of the 49th often miss out on many deals open exclusively to US residents. I opened my US DM account using the address of my mailbox in Buffalo, and it's worked out great so far. I can (but yet may not) take advantage of the extra 25% bonus. More importantly, I am not subject to the additional 13% HST that US tacks on to mile purchases in addition to the 7.5% (?) tax they already charge.

You may want to consider changing your address to an American one in the future. There are several reputable mailbox outfits in Point Roberts that you can use as a mailing address.

Yes I have one in California which is where my cat resides!

My guess is that the above was simply sloppy wording my US and they do intend to let new US members get both bonuses. Has anyone asked US?
I signed up with a new US Airways account after 2/1/2011 with a USA address (I did not previously have a US Airways account). It has now been 12 days since I signed up, so I can buy the miles. But I'm worried I won't get the 25% toolbar bonus since I didn't already have an account before 2/1/2011. Has anyone else in my situation received the extra 25%?

For the folks having credit card problems, here is the deal:
Points.com blocks your card after a few purchases. Go on their website, chat live with an agent, explain the issue and they will "release" your card. I had the problem last year after I maxed out all my cards. Good luck

Thanks. There is a flyertalk signature. ("AA miles are my heroin..."). My addiction is to cheap US miles, it appears.
The FCL beckons. If only I knew what to do with all the rubber duckies..

I, too, am interested in the answer to this question. Anyone with experience? DavaoDude, did you go ahead and purchase? If so, what was the result?
