I thought I saw someone report that a Fanny May purchase showed up as a "1 800 Flowers" activity credit in his/her US account. If that's true, US would have no way to know it wasn't a flower purchase, and it should result in a hit, IMO.

Of course I didn't say anything, but it went immediately back into my regifting stock.
I tried opening the bottle with the duck on the label and it tasted like vinegar. Immediately poured the contents of that bottle out into the sink.

Unless someone can recommend a specific label in the red/white sampler package, I will be giving the rest of these to a local shelter and soup kitchen.

Another questionable hit may be the 100 Thanks Again bonus miles posted for being one of the first 10K visitors on Twitter ( or whatever that exact promotion was).

just dont ask for a tax receipt as you need to give your address and then just might find yourself in a heap of trouble ., when those who drank it want to get even

On the other hand if you need to get even with someone Bingo

That worked last year. Fingers crossed for those who did it this year, although I don't see US differentiating between the freebies and "earned" TY points.

FYI, it wasn't Fannie May, but 1-800-Baskets. See http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/2011-...l#post17141240

Either way, all the sub-merchants with tabs on the 1-800-Flowers website would appear to count.

Normally I take my donations inside, but in this instance I think I'll leave the so-called "wine" in front of their door, ring the bell and drive away as fast as possible.

Regarding Network Solutions, when I called to inquire about my order/bonus miles, the initial rep said that he saw my DM number on the order and all should be good, but that he would pass the info along to the frequent flyer dept. to insure that the right number gets credited.

Then I get this email. Buyers beware.... I've responded for further clarification. I'm thinking they'll tell me that because I used the heavy discount, that miles would not be awarded.....

Thanks but the 1st item on the Left side of the linked page is 'Domain Name' 3 yrs @ $28.99 a year. No where even by the * does it say no codes allowed and you must pay the Full $28.99 a year in order to get teh Miles.

If they give the Miles then Definitely Im Disputing the charge with my CC , since I have a screen shot of NSs page that states after you click Submitt below NS will credit your USAirways acct# xxxxxxxxxxxx for 2000 Miles. But Id rather have them credit me the Miles and thusly a Hit

Before you dispute this with your CC issuer, try getting NetSol to void the purchase.

I made the mistake of signing up for a 1-year domain registration, relying on their ultra-crappy website, which doesn't issue a "no-miles" warning about this unless you manually refresh the page. (That's right: they dynamically update pricing when you change the time period, but conveniently "forget" to dynamically update the terms/restrictions.) FYI, I called to check afterward when my confirmation email made no mention of miles; when they said I wouldn't get miles, I asked to cancel the transaction. They promised to do so, and the credit has been issued to my CC.

Thanks but I would 1st proceed to get them to Honor it since they didnt have any disclaimer about using a Code, then if that doesnt work Id rather go via my CC and hit them with ChargeBack fees, and I have the screen shot telling me I will earn the Miles, so they may offer a refund and I will tell them no Thanks Miles Please

at least with 800Flowers they said no promo codes with the Sale stuff so if it doesnt work they arent to blame,(yes I know someone said they got it posted, but once it hts the fan could be they will wake up and kill that)

an item might make it past the checkout counter in a store that was marked way too low, Im sure after they see they are selling way over the avg they do on any given day and look at it they will see what was causing them to sell so many.Till then there will be alot of going around

I also used the coupon code to get the 3 years down to a total of $26.09. My e-mail from them includes the line:

Your US Airways Dividend Miles account xxxxxxxx, will be credited with 2000 miles(s) in 8-10 weeks.

Hopefully the miles will appear.

iPads, cookies, and hit tracking?

I do most of my points hobby research on my iPad. I've been leery of using it for purchases from partners because I'm just not confident that the iPad has cookies and tracking quite the same as a full computer. I know in most cases we are prompted for our DM # but I guess I am still cautious. With upcoming travel plans I will only have my ipad with me and would like to keep working on the GS.

Any FT-ers out there who can confirm having completed partner activity on the iPad and having that activity post?
Thanks!

Edit: I just did the Audience Reward trivia from start to finish on the iPad so I'll see if that works, too.

I have bought from merchants in shopping mall and had the points post fine.
I had not been using ipad for grand slam as i have been taking screen shots, and had not known if i could do that with my ipad, which i have not owned long. Anyway, i found instructions yesterday for taking screen shots with ipad, so that can be donevto document. Whether tracking works better on pcs or laptops than ipads i cannot say.
