My flights SFO-SYD in January are showing the new configuration. Oddly, F on my outbound appears booked with people - so I cannot assign the seat. I was able to book the seat in the new configuration on the return.

Our November 11 SFO-SYD has the new config 747 .. . yesterday it was showing us in row 17 upstairs, now we are row 7 facing the back of plane.
So where is the thread that outlines what seats are preferred/non preferred on the new Biz, does anyone know please?

Well my OCT flight SFO-SYD is still OLD config 
Still hoping I might see some change closer to the time but at this stage, looks like I am staying in row 17AB

SFO-NRT UA837 starts new seatmap on July 21 (and doesn't show the old map after that date)
NRT-SFO UA 838 starts new seatmap on July 22
And I will voice my opinion that a separate route thread would be welcome to me, rather than fishing through the multiple 747/767/777 threads.

I believe UA's plan is to get the HKG flights done first. Oct 1st, both ORD-HKG and SFO-HKG (already new).. Then the ord flight will continue to singapore.. As of now i believe the sfo continues to sin.. HKG-SIN is also new configuration. This way less chance of swaps if both flights are new config.

Just flew SIN-HKG on UA 896 and HKG-SFO on UA 856...both new config 747.

The other day an FA on the SFO-JFK ps told me that one of the reconfigured aircraft (didn't know #) is based in SFO and has been substituted in on that service several times when equipment problems made another aircraft unavailable.
