A couple weeks ago I received a PM from an FT'er saying that s/he had seen one of my entries (entered 8/6 on a 757, SFO-PDX). As s/he did not post it publicly on this board, I will not reveal his/her identity. However, if s/he would like to step forward .... .

It was quite exciting to be sighted! I have not yet, however, seen anyone else's handle.

Warning: Beware of signing your Hemispheres in a language other than English

Midwest Airlines Cancels Flight
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

Filed at 2:35 a.m. ET

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Midwest Airlines canceled a flight ready to take off for San Francisco after a passenger found Arabic-style handwriting in the company's in-flight magazine and alerted the crew.

The plane, carrying 118 passengers and five crew members, had already pulled away from the gate at Mitchell International Airport Sunday evening. It returned to the gate, the passengers got off, security authorities were notified, all luggage was checked and the aircraft was inspected. Nothing was found.

The passengers were put up in nearby hotels and booked on a Monday morning flight.

The writing was in Farsi, the language used in Iran, said airline spokeswoman Carol Skornicka. She said she didn't know exactly what the writing said but was similar to a prayer, ``something of a contemplative nature.''
This is about as bad as the "BOB" incident.

Made a COS-CMH mileage run last weekend, connecting through IAH both ways. All flights were on 737s and I signed each copy of Hemispheres in front of me, and two copies on two of the flights. So, if you are in Row 2 on a 737 flying between cities in the middle USA, look for me!

My first time remembering to play this game... Signed the United Voices page (article about p.s. service) on UA 944 on October 7, ORD-FRA, seat 14E. It was a 777 in the new livery. Flew LH on the way back, so no signature.

I still haven't seen a signature, either! Since the magazine changes monthly, I guess that's an impediment...

I am still playing but have not seen anybody's signature. Maybe with persistence I will spot someone's signature.

I guess I must one of the revelatively few lucky ones to actually spot Cheryl's entry in Hemispheres. I wonder what the odds are of actually spotting a FT entry?

Three of us were flying together last weekend and we all signed two of the Hemispheres on the guppy we were on. That's the "sighting" I'm waiting to hear about!

I've been called 'boob' a couple of times.

I keep signing but to no avail. DEN-ORD-RIC last weekend, the latest.

Signed mine on Tuesday from ORD-LAX on the 5:00 p.m. 747 flight.

Spotted my signature 4.5 hours later on the same aircraft LAX-SYD.

Does that count for anything?

Spotting yourself might be considered a little TMI.

How long did it take you to recognize your own "signature?"
