Have we heard any more from the various Insiders about what is in store for us as of next weekend?

A couple agents were telling me that the company was setting up quiet areas with massage chairs so agents can decompress.
Could have been a rumor, but it sounds like a good idea, because I'm sure it will be stressful for a lot of folks.

Drugs and alcohol would probably be more effective. But massage chairs are a close second.

So in the end, seems like there is very little in the way that's an improvement with SHARES. Online certs seem to have more functionality, great. And no issues now getting an F seat if you clear after OLCI. Other than that, it's all pretty much downgrades.

Has anyone put together a "cheat sheet" of common SHARES command prompts that FTers can reference?

Based on my experience flying 11K miles on Monday and Tuesday, Channa was pretty much spot-on in regards to the list he compiled.
Interestingly, I had totally glossed over the 'scanning BP to enter the club' assuming that was really trivial. Turns out, it's not. The line to enter the LAX club on Tuesday afternoon was easily 20 people long and took 10 minutes to clear. Evidently, SHARES requires the agent to manually type in the 6 digit locator for every pax. Sad.

The huge increase in lines (I've seen this too) is as a direct result of people assuming they can adopt the UA approach of just scanning their BP if they're a UC member. This doesn't work (yet).
Hint: there were no huge lines outside CO PCs in the past. People handed over their PC card, it got swiped, they went in.

Not correct. If you're a member they can either swipe your card (quickest) or manually type in your MP number if you don't have your card (not as quick). If you're entering as a *G (UA or otherwise) then they can enter either the PNR or flight number / name - or scan the BP.

At best, this is another example of poor training on the part of CO.

Absolutely agree. I can't for the life of me figure out how the efficiencies of old UA (scanning BP for club access, instant website ticketing, etc.) weren't (and probably will never) be realized by management.

There was a previous post stating that boarding pass scanners were being added to the old President's Clubs.

I had a long chat with a PMUA FA last year about integration. She told me that at first, she was very motivated about the merger, because she saw it as an opportunity to take the best of both carriers and make the new airline even better. She said that it became very clear that HQ wasn't interested in listening to what the front line workers were suggesting.
The coffee fiasco is a perfect example. No one thought to test "freshbrew" on a PMUA aircraft in flight before selecting it.
Arrogance can be a bad thing.....

Thought the United Club checkin system was integrated earlier -- I was able to use my Presidential Plus credit card to enter one a few months ago.
But apparently not given the lines at the SFO club and fight that broke out between a passenger and agent.
The good: my former OnePass number now works for wifi.

Overheard today a PMCO trainer helping a GA to get a flight ready for boarding. What a dog's breakfast of non-intuitive letter/number combinations as commands. Printing twice a list to be able to see things you cant get to on screen, really? What's next, punch cards?
