So in short, Economy (W fare) to First - $195
I declined as I'm traveling with someone and there was only NF1, NC0
If it were NF2 I may have done it!
?!?!?! You declined a $195 Y>F upgrade? As some FTers might ask, what's wrong with you?!

On a 1,356 mile flight? Not worth it IMO.

OMG no way another one!! Y-F

Okay see my previous post?

Same thing, except this one is for my dad's in July, I sponsored him with SWU from TPE-NRT-SFO, TPE-NRT cleared immediately, but NRT-SFO didn't.

So again, in short, Travel Options, it gave him NRT-SFO Economy (Q fare)to First for $999!!! this one is NF4, NC0

I'm gonna have to jump on this one, but first I think I'd need to make sure I can get my SWU back...

I think I may just have found a way to UFC into international first.

1,356? I did not realize that it was such a short flight! Too bad that was not the price for NRT-SFO!

If I was traveling solo, I may have jumped on the deal to try.
Even though it is a short 1357 miles..

I knew about this but kept it to myself lest UA takes away the bug. Maybe a good idea to make it a bit more vague?

A looong thread

Does this upsell by UA applies to C -> F on Transpac routes also? Or only for Y -> C?

Seems that it does apply (some people mentioned Y -> F upsell) but wanted to be sure.

The thread also implied that this upsell will trump my SWU, correct?

A thread search will show that people have gotten offers for Y>C or C>F on TATL/TPAC..

The only offer I get is premium seating for $94 one way. It was $89 a couple months ago.

I could upgrade V>C for 25,000+$400 ($900 value?), but too steep for my blood.

Looks like plenty of room upfront though.

Plane Type: Boeing 777
Cabin: Business
Available Cabins: F3, A3, C9, D9, Z9, Y9, B9, E0, M9, U9, H9, Q9, V9, W9, T9, S9, K9, L9, G0, XY9, NY9, XF0, NF0, J9, XC0, NC1

I was offered at check in:

LAX-SYD
Upgrade from E+ to lie flat business class for $500 at check in and no miles needed. I took it! I had paid only $750 for the LAX-SYD-LAX round trip bereavement fare.

Do you guys agree that was a pretty good offer?

LAX-IAD-GIG (Rio) offered to upgrade from a free award ticket in E+ to first class/lie flat business to Rio for $600. From an already free ticket!
I wanted to take it but my partner declined so we stayed in coach.

On the way back from Rio to DC we got an operational upgrade from E+ to lie flat business, again from our free rewards tickets! We took that one! I am prem exec and my partner prem.
