They really should have extra special meals on the China flights as there's something of the Last Supper about them! My son recently flew to HKG but fortunately for him he benefited from the reduced 14 day quarantine, and had a hotel which permitted outside food deliveries....

Hahaha, you're so right! It definitely feels that way (my hotel did not permit outside food deliveries).

PDB of water/OJ/sparkling wine was offered.

Drinks were served from cart, no nuts, followed immediately by dinner. (At least for first couple of rows - turbulence interrupted the service). Dinner choices were beef, chicken, or ravioli… above was the beef and for United it wasn’t bad.
bread was cold.

Mid flight snacks were very small sandwiches, potato chips, & cookies. I passed on the breakfast, choosing to visit the PL prior to my connection.

some good views a couple hours into the flight:

Dinner : Vegetarian Chili w/ Polenta (first time I've seen it offered; was good)
offering pre- or in-flight chili seems a bold move, if you ask me
other options were the short ribs and salmon

Breakfast : Fruit and Oatmeal
other option was the egg bites

I must say fruit and oatmeal is an excellent introduction to eat healthy on board.

i didn’t see any dessert in the picture, which firstly is a good sign meaning it’s actually a separate course of its own.

That said, what did you take, if anything at all?

Unless I've been missing something, I don't think UA serves dessert with breakfast.

Food served on daytime flight EWR - LHR?

Assuming my Plus Points upgrade processes, I will be in Polaris on an upcoming daytime flight from EWR to LHR (leaving at 8:30AM, arriving 8:40PM). Way, way back in the day, one of the advantages of taking this flight was that you were were offered two full meal services. Anyone take this flight recently? It is coded as "breakfast", but will there be a second full meal served later in the flight? I didn't see anyone post from this flight this year.

yes. the cheese plate (what i took), pre-made ice cream sundae, and IIRC a third choice that escapes me were offered after dinner.
