Agree to disagree I guess. Unless the meal was overheated and the rice became dry as rocks, I think it really is one of the better domestic meals. Is your friend comparing it to a restaurant meal on the ground or in the context of an airplane meal, and especially an airplane meal served by United?

Sep 22 SFO-JFK

Sep 22 SFO-JFK afternoon departure
Butternut squash ravioli
Other option was something with chicken
Ravioli was good temperature, but only so-so quality. Bread would have been better warmed.
They also came around with some cheese and crackers plate but I was asleep.

Sep 23 JFK - SFO

Relatively tasty breakfast on an early flight from JFK to SFO. Temperature was right, fruit was surprisingly fresh, and of course some sparkling always helps. Other option was some egg-white + kale combo.

Interesting, they had a pancake machine there back in August. They did have that soup though (have also seen it at other AS lounges) and I thought it was pretty good.

Nice to see the croissant, as the menu still calls for biscotti. Was the croissant warmed?

Had the croissant as part of the same breakfast recently flying SFO-HNL. It was warmed.

I'd rather there be sausage with the French Toast instead of even more bread

Agree, but that would cost more and bust the breakfast budget limit.

EWR-PHX on Sunday in F - 2100+ miles, 8:15 p.m. departure. Hot meal? Website still says sandwich or snack box, but I think that's out of date?

Where does the website say that?

It will be the usual pesto chicken with orzo or vegetable enchiladas...since the flight is over 1500 miles, you'll also get a pretzel roll!

Scheduled for dinner service. Enjoy the Max-8 ... this was originally supposed to be a 320.

Inflight Dining
For flights over 2 hours and 20 minutes, you’ll be offered a choice between a selection of sandwiches and one of our snack boxes

What should I expect on DEN-KOA on Monday in F? My first time flying up front to Hawaii.

Choice of three entrees (beef, chicken, pasta) served with bread, salad, mixed nuts, and mango sorbet.

Pre-arrival meal of cheeseburger with fruit.
