I expect 1) Japan and S. Korea to allow entry in August. 2) US/Europe to lift ban in August to allow students and tourists come in. China is the wild card. China is so scared of virus, they might continue blocking off the country at the cost of economy. |
When will TPE be back on the schedule?

as of right now it looks like early August. But unless Taiwan start to allow foreigners in, I’m sure the date will be pushed back.
Routes that are starting/not cutting in July is more probable to fly. |
HK Restriction updates
Hong Kong on Tuesday said it would implement a two-week extension of social distancing measures, including a ban on public gatherings of more than eight people, to June 18.
The city’s entry restrictions will also remain in place until September 18 for foreign non-residents, with the exception of those who have stayed in mainland China, Taiwan and Macau for 14 days prior to their arrival in Hong Kong. Residents of those places are also allowed into the city if they have not travelled elsewhere prior to their arrival. https://www.yahoo.com/news/hong-kong...111223281.html |

I'm guessing that HK, Korea, Singapore, and maybe Japan will be clear soon, which is fine for me, and probably the economy as well.
China is a lost cause. HK is very much following China. Taiwan and Japan likely will lift ban before HK. Maybe October? |

I am most hopeful of SIN (at least for transit) and Thailand (their economy is really suffering and desperately needs tourism). Maybe in September.

I was actually speaking about those other countries in the context of China (i.e. I expect that we will be able to travel somewhat freely between China and them within the next month or two).

Does HK even have the autonomy anymore to make a decision separate from China's decisions? Not trying to venture into OMNI territory, but curious as I would like to visit HK but no interest at the moment in China.
