I saw a documentary about LH's longhaul cargo operations which showed the FO preparing and serving the meals.

Same food. Just heat in the oven like the F/A would have done.

These are long haul flights so there are at least three pilots on board.
Say Vandelay likes this.

strange UA flights right now

Was just looking at FR24 and filtered down to UA flights. I found some really weird flights operating as of the time of this post.
1. UA2772 / UA2808 from NRT-PVG. Why would two almost totally empty 777s be flying this route within an hour of each other?
2. UA2796 NRT-TPE
3. UA2738 CHS-DFW. both non nub cities for UA

im sure there are probably more. But I was just curious about these flights.

you can't look at the seat map as its not a pax flight, this is for cargo.

UA ran four 320s ORD-BOS today at 20 minute intervals from 0930 to 1050: 2752-2755. Here's the seat map for 2752, and FlightAware track. Who knows why. It doesn't look like any of the aircraft have departed BOS. UA isn't flying much there right now.

All were
D FCF/FERRY FLIGHT NO REVENUE CUSTOMERS
Could have had some cargo, but maybe for parking

There was a recent AD on 320 but it affected just 11 A320 worldwide and unclear if any were UA's. And BOS would be an odd airport to handled that.

Some might be storage. Over the past few days you would think MCI is a Delta hub. Bet they brought in 75+ planes

I don't think it was cargo. You can't have any cargo on a ferry flight. If there was, the remark in the FLIFO is wrong.

Anyone know what flight 2774 from LAX - HKG is for? I see it flying overhead daily right after takeoff, but it's non-bookable, although shows in UA flight status. From gate 77 in LAX.
