UA cargo-only flights during COVID-19 era

Noticed this one go out last night as UA2802 ORD-FRA, empty seat maps both directions. Any clue what this bi-directional ferry was for? To pick up crew or other staff? Isn't there an easier way than sending an empty 789?

Hard to tell many individuals were on these flights (might have included other employees returning to USA besides the crew of a recent flight) but narrowbodies can not make this flight without multiple stops which could be problematic with the number of border closures.

No F/As on board. May be one of those cargo only flights.

A friend in freight forwarding mentioned a five-fold increase - and that was earlier this week.
Given that, UA might run some "empty" overseas flights here and there.

Per UA pilot clubord in another thread, the pilots have been notified that more cargo-only flights will be flown.

The pax 777 is a cargo beast, especially the GE variants.

This one was a cargo section for USPS.

Some various others to FRA, LHR, and AMS.

Dutch aviation website reported United folks saying at least twice weekly 777 freight flights to AMS for the foreseeable future...

I wonder how long it would take and how much it would cost to remove the economy section and make at least part of the main deck suitable for cargo.

How long would it take to cut in a door large enough to load pallets?

But not exit row - I don't think the cargo can verbally respond to the crew that they understand the obligations that come with sitting in the exit row.
