5. Purchased March 2019. Waitlisted entire time.
6. #2 on upgrade list but 44/44 taken at T-2. By T-1 only 42/44 had checked in. I boarded as Prem Plus but once I sat in my seat they cleared the upgrade list (2 of us out of about 12), as seen via the app, so I consider this very fortunate! I moved forward to 10F (787-10) with my bags (no agent came on board).
*Side note: A 60+ male FA knocked a glass of water over two seats and a tv during boarding. A German gentleman got sufficiently wet (and was not happy all flight), maintenance had to change the cushion of the seat in front of him. The FA blamed it on narrow new Polaris, and basically a woman who was standing and had put the glass on top of her seat while she was getting settled. He barely apologized, and was terrible all flight.

My wife cleared at the same time for the same flight. Only difference is that she booked her ticket on March 14.
The day before the upgrade it was P7 PN0 PZ0 with 6 tickets booked in Polaris. Now it's P9 PN0 PZ0 with 9 tickets booked in Polaris.

Interestingly, this flight was PZ0 when I booked it, however it cleared Immediately after applying my upgrade. Unfortunately my fiance was not so lucky a few moments later. She is waitlisted

A real nail-biter on this one!
Flight was ~32 booked (out of 50) when I made the booking. Went FULL (50 out of 50) a few times in the week leading up to flight, then hovered around 47 and 48 booked at ~T-48 hours to T-24 hours.
Was #1 on list at T-24. Flight showed "Booked 47 (+1 blocked)". Got kicked off #1 position a few hours before departure to #2 , then down to #3 at T-2 hours; still "Booked 47 (+1 blocked) with 46 checked in".
T-60 minutes: #1 got upgraded: "Booked 47 (+1 blocked) with 47 checked in".
T-59 minutes: #2 got upgraded: "Booked FULL with 48 checked in".
Boarded and took my seat in E+. Figured it was going to be the first time in 2019 I would miss my GPU from clearing, but still hoping the app was correct and that the last J passenger hadn't made it to the airport...
Sure enough, as soon as I sat down in E+ the upgrade cleared.

This was a pleasant surprise. GPU applied at booking for no-status mom booked in P+. Flight went PN9 a couple days ago. PZ never visible (at least not while I was awake). Flight now P4 PN0.
