Recent changes to United's policy on pajamas and slippers increased the official availability from flights '12+ hours' to flights '14+ hours'.
There are currently (October/November 2023) mixed reports about actual availability, with some shorter than 14-hour flights still being provisioned with pajamas and slippers.

The printed on-board menu reads:

"Sleep soundly in the sky
Slippers are available by request on all international flights, along with pajamas for flights scheduled 14+ hours.
Ask your flight attendant if you'd like them."

Previous Wiki updated February 22, 2023, left here until final eligible routes can be established:

"On flights longer than 12 hours, we also offer 100% cotton pajamas upon request." (https://www.united.com/web/en-US/con...laris-FAQ.aspx )
Pajamas are provisioned for about half of the eligible seats.
Flights with pajama service (for both directions)
SFO - ICN, PEK, PVG, TPE , AKL , HKG , CTU, SYD, TLV, SIN
EWR - TLV, NRT, PEK , DEL, BOM, HKG, PVG, CPT, JNB
ORD - NRT, PEK, PVG, HKG
LAX - PVG, SYD, MEL
IAD - NRT, PEK
IAH - NRT, SYD
(from United Twitter feed https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CyjFHZLWEAAQV7X
New flights have been added, and some flights ended)

Note: United employee shop sells pajamas for $9.99 a pair as of 12/10/20

The new ones at least have the neck buttons back (although I am curious as to why, since the buttonholes in the napkins continue to disappear, see related thread on this topic) but only have one pocket (why?) and the material feels less pleasant, it feels like it is some kind of synthetic blend now instead of 100% cotton.

If one were to bring their own from a previous flight, but they are flying coach and there are plenty of open seats in Polaris….

New Pajamas

I kind of like the new pajamas, but the one pocket things does not make sense. They had them both ways from IAH to SYD and SYD to SFO.

Any updates for 2024? Are Australia flights getting them? (I know they are 14+ and should be provisioned, but curious if they actually are!)

Have SFO Sydney next week and would prefer not to have to pack a set “just in case”…

Did UA ever publish a new list of which flights provide pajamas?

Are Australia flights getting PJs? Yes.
Will your actual flight get them? Maybe? There could be any number of reasons why the flight might not be provisioned.

Yes, thank you, we all know what the menu says. I am asking if anyone has seen an actual list of city pairs.

As another datapoint, PJs are offered on the SFO-CHC route, both ways.

Aye. Maybe United isn't publishing a list now because it's so really, really small?
But yeah, not seen an actual list either.
