Hard to believe they would invest the $ (and tied up real estate) to create a separate lounge for one flight a day.
More likely would be a small, sectioned off area of one of the clubs...maybe only for a couple of hours prior to that flight?

Doesn't DEN have just one flight daily that would qualify for Polaris service? (DEN->NRT)?

The LH flights operate from A, currently. Presumably they could be moved to B for departures, but they would occupy at least one, and maybe two widebody gates during a major push at DEN, where gate space is already at a premium. Also, I'm not sure three daily flights would be enough to justify a dedicated Polaris lounge. All of the proposed sites for Polaris lounges except LAX/HKG have at least 10 'qualifying' longhaul departures throughout the day. LAX will probably be available to p.s. customers as well (assuming United brands the p.s. BF service as Polaris, eventually) and HKG (run by a contractor) also has the benefit of serving a high volume of partner visits.

But, yes, I can't imagine LH paying $ to having them towed in DEN. Plus, the other reasons you stated. I don't think UA would want LH to give up those gates.
What would be a better potential option would be somehow doing a UA Club announcement at T-20 to boarding, gathering everyone, then a tarmac transfer (by bus?) from B to the LH plane's gate.

To be fair, at ORD, both LH and UA int'l arrive at T5, and then they are towed to the C concourse. Who pays for that?

I've used the UC before DEN-FRA flights and it isn't a terrible trek. If you are connecting in DEN to a LH flight, you arrive in B anyway and can access the lounge prior to heading to the LH gate in A. LH used to give you access to the AA lounge if you were in C and then the BA lounge. Now it's just the UC.
I agree that a Polaris lounge makes no sense in DEN.
