Bought FLL-IAH-SNA in coach for $289, cost $89 after applying my $200 Pajamagate ETC - offered IAH-SNA after-purchase-upgrade at $185, although ironically FLL-IAH was priced at almost $300.

Decided to take IAH-SNA offer for a 3.5hr flight since I'm no worse off after the ETC, and I'll get some bonus PQM as it booked into P class.

Heading to Boston from Colorado in May. Outbound leg is going via IAH. Upgrade price for IAH-BOS is $208. Upgrade price for BOS-DEN is $216 (basically the upfare charge). Not biting on either.

IAH-DCA and DCA-IAH for next week offered at $168 each. E fare. GS status. Same offer as always on this route for the past two years or so. It used to be $158. I didn’t take either offer. Outbound was upgraded via CPU at 120hours. Return is almost full and I expect it will fill with paid upgrades. Maybe I will get lucky and get upgraded at the gate if an F passenger switches to another flight and leaves a seat open for me.

ZRH-IAD on 3/22 was $599 today J3C3D3Z3P2 at the time. Colleague took it and it rebooked into P. Started at $1099 with P availability a month ago, then rose to $3xxx when D was lowest available fare bucket, and as high as $6xxx when only C and J were available.

I have been flying YEG-DEN and DEN-SFO (and vice versa) numerous times over the past few months and I always get a $159 buyup offer (except the one time it was sold out) Not a horrible offer for 2.5Hr-ish flights

Took it once on a DEN-SFO route as I wanted to try global first one last time (but it switched to a polarized plane unfortunately...)

$90 for IAD-EWR on an A320. Is this worth it & can I burn my ETC to pay for this?

No one can really answer that for you. If it gets you free checked bag(s) that you would otherwise have to pay for, it can be a decent value. Otherwise it's a little hard to justify objectively for such a short flight. Although I find the slimlined 320 Y seats very uncomfortable, so that might also be a consideration.

CDG-IAD

U-fare, $1165 at T-7, and was the same at booking. Trip originates in Africa on LH metal w/UA flight number, so mileage upgrades are 35K and $350, which is nuts for just the EUR-US leg.

BTV - ORD - DEN - SBA for May. After purchase, $149 BTV-ORD, $149 for ORD- DEN, $159 DEN - SBA (from W fare).

So $457 for all 3 segments. To buy 1st outright was $363 for the difference in fare, so about $100 more to upgrade through their offers right after purchase.

Is it just me or are the TODs lower for lower status folks in this thread?

I used to take the TODs for my short hops as usually they were around $59/$79 or so but these days the lowest is around $119 and up. Also, the TODs gave me PQD but these days do not. I do not take them but now I usually get a CPU on the flights. My CPU rate is much higher this year than in previous years so trying to work out if the higher TODs is for higher status folks.

In which case I may be better off not booking with my MP number in hopes of lower TODs and having my MP# input at the airport....I actually only want to fly front of plane on red eyes.

While that appeared to be true years ago, it seems to have equalized out although there are still occasional reports. What I have noticed is offers in general have creepted up -- very rare to hear of the sub-$100 offers nowadays/
