Not surprising that UA is trying to bolster LHR traffic although personally I would have liked to see the retrofitted 763 bring used between a EWR and FRA instead.

UA doesn't regularly fly a 763 EWR<>FRA...they've downgauged to a 764 for winter season and fly 3-class 772 (for now) in the summer.

Just curious why UA couldn't/wouldn't ferry these birds out of MIA in advance? N12116 might be a challenge depending on where the mods stand, but for 528 even if the interior isn't complete it should still be flyable (though it may take an FAA permit if its not in compliance with the FARs as it sits), no? Same for 540?

Ouch

Then again, takeoff speed is close to winds that are expected, so unless a tornado comes along hopefully these planes will be OK. And they are not expecting 50" of water like in Texas ^

Oops, forgot to post last one in MIA
763: N670UA entered 8/9/17, maint

Who knows why UA is keeping them in MIA. Maybe the change in track made up their mind in the last day. What is best - leave in a hanger or place in the open tied down or hooked to a push back tractor with the nose facing what is anticipated to be the worst wind?
The previous new delivery 738 took over three weeks at MIA, the current one has only been there 12 days. Lots of work is being done in MIA at this time. When INT was operating, they seemed to turn aircraft quicker. There must be trade offs for time in the shop.

The new GUM 738 subfleet has IFE in both 1AB and 2AB (saw this was just a margin note at present). I suspect the 73Gs are similar but didn't fly one.

Sure, it's "seatback" entertainment but it's really just DirecTV without the DirecTV. Looping movie channels and absolutely nothing else, like taking a normal DirecTV bird out over the Pacific. At least it's free.

73G:
N23721 exited IAH 676/12Sep, doesn't show slimlines, which is quite disappointing (in IAH 8/16/17)

752:
N19117 finally exited MCN 2695/13Se with scimitars

764:
N66057 appears to be headed to HKG for crew rest mod. En route HNL currently 2829/13Sep.

Now zero aircraft in MCN - end of MCN as maint station??

UAX Update

E7W:
N750YX entered revenue service with Republic 13Sept

CR2:
N425AW (2002 build) entered UAX service with Air Wisconsin

CR7:
N796SK has not flown since engine fire on 2nd July. Suspect this frame will be retired/scrapped (hence the 1 added CR7 retirement this year)

Q200:
N368PH is in for fleet exit prep

739:
N37467 entered LCQ 2800/15Sep, hopefuly for slimlines.
Maybe the first 737 inot LCQ explains why MCN has no aircraft in for work.

772:
N226UA sked to enter XMN 2779/16Sep - didn't operate, stays in revenue service for now.
N228UA sked to exit XMN 2798/16Sep - didn't operate

Hi Bunky: Have you seen anything that could give us a hint as to which sUA772 will be first in line for the new Polaris seats? UA had indicated that they would start the conversion of the sUA772 in the fourth quarter of this year...
