I just added SFO/ICN to the mix, 4x weekly retrofit 772. I also separated 77W and "other" dedicated routes.

Does anyone know of any other dedicated routes?

I think the new EWR-HKG mentioned above is now dedicated 77W also.

I would have sworn a couple of months ago the seat map showed the 1-2-1 Polaris for UA901 but now, it shows up as a 3-cabin 772, meaning the lousy 2-4-2 in J.

Any change they would change it again to 773 with Polaris cabins in the next 2-3 weeks?

The return in mid May on UA900 is currently showing as 773 Polaris cabin.
I've flown/am flying SFO<->LHR a few times over the past couple months, so I've been checking the flight status for all 4 flights to see if I can discern any pattern of days more likely to have Polaris seats. (I can't)

I think on the SFO-LHR nonstop, 901 and 930 are random 777's until April 28. However, from April 29, 901 officially sells Premium Economy seats, so it has the new Polaris seats. And 930 continues to be random.
On the way back, LHR-SFO, starting Apr 30, the 900 officially has Premium Economy seats, and thus new Polaris seats. The 949 continues to be random.

This trend appears to now continue into December. Earlier I bought an economy ticket on 901 for end December with seat 20A. I got notified of a schedule change, and noticed that 901 now has Premium Econ seats, I was moved to row 34, and I was not allowed to select row 20 without paying some $2000. I had to change my date of travel for other reasons, so I took the opportunity to move to the later 930 flight, which is not officially polarized. I hope that if the equipment is swapped, it will be unofficial, and I will be able to maintain my unofficial upgrade to PE seats without paying extra.

Also, be aware that until the end of Daylight Savings time, the polarized 900 goes first from LHR (about 10.30am), and the random 949 goes second (about 12.30). However from the last week in October, they switch order, so the random 949 is the early departure (about 9.30) and the polarized 900 is the later departure (about 11.30).

From SFO, the polarized plane 901 always seems to be the earlier of the two departures from SFO whether in June or November.

Hope that helps.

About the only thing that made my flying United life sane (and the LHR UC) was selecting 20A/B/J/K on the pre-PP LHR-SFO-LHR flights. Not looking forward to 10 across even if they call it E+. In fact I am going to have to think long and hard about whether I want to do this any longer.

SFO-LHR loads are often quite light. Be smart about E+ seat selection and you can often have an empty seat next to you. IMO, that's a better travel experience than PP as it allows for crossing legs (stretching) more easily.

The pmUA 772 retrofits are now moving along at a rapid pace. The last one out was done in 45 days, and the next (N787UA) is sked to exit XMN on 4/10 after just 46. When the next one goes in (also 4/10) that will leave just 10 in IPTE. At that rate (3 in mod, c 45 days/mod), the last one will go in early to mid September). So by the time DST ends the pmUA 772s will be all Polaris/P+.

Of course they could switch the second daily 772 over to pmCO or to 789, but equally (and my guess) they make SFO-LHR all Polaris/P+ and sell P+ on both flights.

Made some updates to the wiki to reflect the new dedicated 772 routes with Polaris/P+, most of which started a couple weeks ago while others are scheduled to start later in the spring.

UA 180 HKG-EWR on Wednesday 4/27 is swapped for a 772.....but I've been unable to see a seat map online or on the app for a day now. Flight is showing zero'd out. 0J 0A 0Y.

showing 77W on app. online...on flight stats.....but a 772 Polaris config....

what gives?

happy it's still a Polaris config (for now). would be if it wasn't.

Looking at EWR-FCO in late summer/early fall looks scheduled on a 772. Seat map shows non-polaris config. (E.g. UA40 on 8/23). Do you suppose this is temporary. Long as I can remember this route has been a pmCO 767.

772 is scheduled for the busy summer season until 4OCT19 then switches to a 763. The route has always fluctuated between 763, 764, 772 ever since DY started flying FCO-EWR 2 years ago.

Interesting, it's been a while since I've flown this route, admittedly. In any case, depending on the day I presume it's a crapshoot what bird they actually fly?
