As did all my SFO-LHR flights Dec onwards. I've been moved back to row 31 on all the flights. My flights through mid-September are still showing 3-class on the 930/949, thank goodness.

It appears that starting later this year, a pair of IAD/LHR flights is getting a retrofitted 772 with Polaris dedicated to it, since they're selling PP on the route.

Looks like:
UA918 IAD-LHR 1825-0640 (+1)
UA925 LHR-IAD 1620-1925

Not sure of exact dates. I noticed it around late December 2019 into January 2020.

IAD-LHR on high-J 763 looks to be starting on 26OCT19 with PP on sale. Interesting that ORD-LHR which already has high-J 763 flying, but PP is not on sale yet.

IAD-NRT 772 has PP on sale starting 26OCT19.
IAD-FRA 772 has PP on sale starting 27OCT19.

So the only 772 out of IAD with IPTE looks to be MUC, presumably to swap planes with ORD-MUC.

It appears 803/804 IAD-NRT-IAD is also going dedicated 772 Polaris with P+ as of the winter schedule.

NRT-HNL Polaris

Yes, United has kicked me out of row 20 seat to a row 31 seat.
Edit: Apparently, NRT-HNL is a dedicated Polaris/PP route, too (my booking is in early November). But I am not going to waste a GPU on this shorter flight to move back to row 20.

Thanks! To clarify, around late December/early January, I saw the reconfigured 772 with Polaris on IAD-LHR - interesting that they have the high-J 763 In the fall there. I thought UA was dedicating those EWR-LHR (at least initially).

Presumably because the frame doing the HNL turn is now pulling from only PE-equipped stock.

Right. The two routes are interlinked, such that a single aircraft operates IAD-NRT-HNL-NRT-IAD. Because of the schedule, IAD-NRT cannot turn around to be NRT-IAD.

Separately, in the past there has been a spreadsheet of sorts showing the widebody (plus 752) allocation by route. Has anyone seen this for the upcoming winter timetable, which evidently was just finalized this past weekend?

EWR-LHR will be dedicated high-J 763 starting 15SEPT19 based on press release.

By September, there should be around 8 high-J 763, so 5 units for EWR+1 spare, that leaves 1-2 for ORD/LHR or EWR-ZRH. This is assuming large downtime and low aircraft utilization.

Polaris Routes to Australia

Sorry if this has already been addressed in this thread, but I'm having trouble finding any information on Polaris routes to Australia. I know none fly currently, but has anyone heard of plans to swap in the retrofitted 772 when there are enough? Or any Polaris aircraft for that matter. I find it hard to believe the lucrative Australian market is going to have to wait another year until dreamliner retrofits are well underway. No Polaris love down under??

Can the 772 even make Australia?

The sCO 772s may make it. All Australia routes except for IAH-SYD are shorter than EWR-HKG, which used to be a sCO 772 route.

I'm nearly positive that sUA 772s were on the schedule prior to the 789s coming onboard. Also, LAX-SYD is ~300 miles shorter than ORD-HKG.

EDIT: Here's a 2015 TPG with the IPTE 777 to SYD. https://thepointsguy.com/2015/07/uni...sfirst-review/
