Island Hopper Flight Date: MONDAY October 24, 2016 - Departs HNL @ 7:25am (may need to overnight if flying in the night before)

Reception at GUM: TUESDAY evening October 25, 2016 after landing at GUM.

GUM Airport Tour: WEDNESDAY October 26,2016

Can I book an award? Absolutely! 25k for HNL > GUM, 35k US > HNL > GUM.

Discount on paid tickets? Yes - use offer code ZWWW536956 when searching for flights on ua.com (more details in 2nd post in thread).

Hotels? The event hotel will be the Westin Resort Guam. Room rates are as follows:

Base room: $160 plus tax
Ocean view room: $180 plus tax
To get these rates you will have to call the hotel directly and mention the UA Frequent Flyer Giving event. The direct number is +1.671.647-1020. Starwood reservations knows nothing of our special rate.

Resturants? TBD.

As an example, there's a 5:10pm GUM-NRT followed by 12:30am-6:05pm HND-SFO getting you on the west coast on Wednesday evening.

So if the goal is to get back to east coast quickly, you either have to deal with a SFO-EWR redeye (e.g. 5am arrival), HNL-EWR redeye (after GUM-TYO-HNL, arriving at 7am), or overnight in GUM/TYO/HKG (getting back 11am-5pm).

No rush to get back. Based in EWR, very few chances to fly GF, so I'm going to use this trip as an opportunity to experience it. (NRT-IAD) The difference from J to F on that flight was only 20k miles. The mid-day Thursday flight only has an hour connection, so I'll take the 6:55am GUM-NRT, which will give me a long time in NRT, but I can use the GFL. So GUM-NRT-IAD-EWR. At this point, I'm the only one booked in F/J on any of those flights. Maybe a saver seat will open up, but not counting on it. Got saver awards on EWR-HNL and HNL-GUM.

GUM-HNL might be 2-4-2/10y by then depending on how the conversions are going. Is anyone doing ua155 (island hopper) the other direction?

I'm thinking about having polo shirts made for the island hopper. Any interest?
