Just FYI, there are also some fully refundable P and Z fares available if you're building an itinerary out of one-way tickets and routing through NRT on the return. Look for PX1REB and Z1RWB.

Just so we can get a tally of those that are likely planning on attending, if you haven't already, please let us know. Also, if you've booked a reward flight for the Island Hopper, please let us know that as well. Thanks!

Does anyone have suggestions for how I could plan out this trip? I was looking for a way to incorporate a weekend in HNL and HKG/NRT, plus fly up front as much as possible. My hope was to do the following:
Depart 10/21, from either ORD (preferred) or MKE, for HNL
10/24 HNL-GUM on the Hopper
10/26 evening or 10/27 GUM-HKG/NRT
10/30 or 10/31 HKG/NRT-ORD/MKE
Preference is to book into F/J, or use RPU/GPU, to avoid sitting in Y wherever I can. Willing to do combinations of revenue/award tickets, if necessary, as I would like to keep the cost under $1500.
Might be a pipe dream, as I haven't had much luck with the united.com booking engine coming in under $2400 (and award tickets seem to fail completely), but figured if anyone could figure this out it would be the crowd at FT.

I'm in -- just ticketed! Please add me to the list. As others have said, all the window seats in E+ are gone. Is it crazy to pick an E+ aisle in preference to an E- window for this flight? Is the window most of the reason for making the trip?

I will not go. But I searched the flights. The fare can be very reasonable if one puts ICN as the destination (all W segments for less than $1400).
10/23: ORF-HNL
10/24: HNL-GUM
10/26: GUM-ICN
10/27(or later): ICN-ORF
If you change ORF to IAD, MKE, ORD, the prices do not change much. But ORD is the cheapest at $1124 (S class).
