Appetizer was shrimp w/ pineapple slice, and a grapefruit-and-golden-beet salad.

The salad was much more delicious than it sounds.

+1!

I had that salad in late January and you are spot on. Seems like a weird concoction but it is excellent.

Back on United for this route due to mix of price/schedule concerns, and I continue to be quite impressed by the domestic food improvements. UX dining is all cold plates, and I'm happy to report they seem to manage some variety of palatable food without an onboard oven.

Cold nuts, as usual

Main course and cookie, plated together. This was unhelpfully described as the "salad with chicken on the side" (no further info when I asked what kind of salad), but the other option was the Buffalo chicken wrap, so I decided to roll the dice on the anonymous salad. I was very pleasantly surprised! Spring greens, a tart-ish semi-hard cheese (to my chagrin I could not identify it, though it seemed to be in the general region of feta if a bit creamier), mixed onions, pomegranate vinaigrette dressing, and yes, chicken on the side. Served along with a bowl of fresh fruit. The salad was fresh and well thought out. Looks like they might have changed cookie vendors, as this was not the usual Otis Spunkmeyer. I forgot what it was, but I thought it was actually an improvement. And, of course, full PDB and attentive refills, the key to keeping me happy.

All in all, a very pleasant onboard experience that made me forget about the 2h delay. The E75 remains an excellent plane :D

My CPU for this 7:30 a.m. departure cleared while I was in the UC upstairs, after I'd spent the last 24 hours atop every other uncleared upgrade on the list.

I got an orange juice for my PDB, had a bloody Mary after takeoff, and was asked to choose between a cheese omelette or hot oatmeal. Easy decision: I picked what hadn't been an option in the lounge an hour ago.

The omelette came with some sausage slices on the side as well as smaller bits of sausage inside, plus another side of roasted potatoes and a bowl of fresh fruit. They ran out of the cinnamon rolls (IIRC) by the time they got to me with the bread basket, but I was going to get the croissant anyway.

I will admit that prior reports here had me wishing the French toast souffle would be on the menu, but this was a good breakfast I wouldn't mind getting again.

I'm on this flight Monday evening. Glad to see it's good. I have to say I've always had good service with Skywest crews on UX. A little worried about the delays this flight has been having, though, because if I miss the last SFO-LAX flight of the night Monday I'm going to be one very unhappy camper!

STLEWR on a an E70...Nice change (looks like its a weekend thing only)....Upgrade to F...even better.

No PDBs or offer to hang coat, but I boarded later so maybe they did and I missed it.

Choices were described as Southwest Chicken Salad with a choice of salad or fruit. Description was confusing, but it was a cold plate; not sure if this flight is double catered because I thought it would be a salad or wrap.

OnePass still is in existence...not the FF program but the service. Everything on the tray all at once and then FA disappeared into Y. Granted I get that they help with the Y service, but with only 6 passengers and just dumping the trays I think they could have been a bit more attentive.

What is in the lower left? I've gotten that before and was confused as to how I was supposed to eat it. Is it meant to be eaten on its own or combined with something else?

Avocado & salsa, it's meant to be put on the southwest chicken and is quite tasty.

Like a blast from the past.

If I am not mistaken, this was a standard offering around 2013, I think for the mainline red-eye flights.

(Sorry for the image size. I have scaled it down on photobucket, but it takes some time to take effect. Ah, finally reasonable size now)

You choked me. :p
It is a very good use of OnePass.

The chicken quality is much better than the 2013 version though the corn salsa had a little more flavor if I recall correctly.

Needless to say its nice to have something decent on Express flights; granted the snack plates seemed to be superior to the hot entrées so if there were any carryovers thankfully it was the better of the two.

Agree 100% on the catering of F on UAX now. Quite a change (for the better) from the 3 hour flights featuring a small bag of snack mix.

Glad to hear the chicken quality has improved. I have always thought the value of the hot vrs cold meal has been overstated. I am quite happy to have a quality cold meal instead of a warmed up, questionable frozen-dinner choice. Plus it takes the skill of the FA out of the equation when trying to finish cook items.
