Departing DEN; taxied and then returned to gate. Pilot says nationwide failure of "three or four" computer systems. Only information from airport staff is that since the computers are down UAL can't book pax onto any other airline ...

Popcorn Time
<raises hand>
Excuse me, please pass the popcorn.
Good luck to everyone "in the system" today.
Glad I'm watching from the sidelines.
Maybe I'll call UA and ask them what my MileagePlus balance is.

Wow. Latest ON TIME stats showed the Express carriers having better ON TIME than UAL Mainline.
Now that they've improved the on board service, the new planes at least have Gogo, and if Express is not plagued with all of the same IT issues as United Continental, it might be worth considering preferring express over mainline now.

Ground Stop has gone on over an hour now.
Nothing from UA on their Twitter page, I didn't immidiately see anything on the UA website, nor as UA Insider reported anything here. Has anyone informed United of the outage?
(I know... it was UA who reported it to FAA)
