On the CPU list for the domestic leg of an international itinerary with my wife (same reservation). XN class for booking. 48 hours out we’re both listed on the upgrade list.
check in today, get boarding passes, and then her name disappears from the upgrade list.
Don’t think we have a chance to get one anyway (#13 with 4 seats) but confused as to why her name no longer shows.

UA2602 IAD-LAX
Fare: K
Cleared T-5 before departure.
Gold,Quest cardholder.
Bit of a fluke though, Was maybe #30 or so on the 70 person waitlist with F full. Got myself seated in the premplus seat so I wasn't really checking.
T-6 before depature they cancelled the flight; got rebooked on the 10pm flight on a 737. About 45 min later the flight re-appeared as on schedule and completely empty. Called in to get moved back onto the flight and was cleared 5 min later. According to the upgrade list about 35 of the 48 seats were CPUs. (787-9). Y was very empty.
It seemed like they were having issues with the 787 bound for IAD-ATH and repositioned our plane to that one, but ended up rectifying the issue and rescheduled our flight back

September 2 RIC-EWR.
Nobody was cleared before T-36 h. FC was booked 1 out of 12. Four pax were cleared at T-36 h. I was No.4 and Mrs. Kmxu was No. 5. Same fare class, same status (1K). United is keeping her waiting a little bit longer😂, but she does not check upgrade waitlist.
Add: only three extra hours waiting for Mrs. Kmxu.

Yup, Saturday night red-eye on Labor Day weekend. Also had no problem confirming my colleague in F with some remaining PPs.
