Saver Sale - UA partner awards pricing as UA award [Promo Has Ended]

Hi,

Just saw that United shows the same miles to Europe on United and Lufthansa ( 57.5k vs the Partner Airline 70k).

Book and book fast

UA partner awards pricing as UA award?!?

I had a US-Europe roundtrip in J on partner airlines booked for me and my father for November 2015 @ 140k each (280k total).

Tonight I was browsing United.com (for better flight options) and saw one-way flights in partner J were only 57.k miles. WUT?!?

I called and successfully repriced our awards to 115k each.

Good luck everyone!

Hmm, more research leads me to conclude that it's not *all* US-EU or EU-US awards, but only some?

LH FRA-BOS @ 57.5k (2/11/2015)
LH FRA-BOS @ 70k (2/6/2015)

Is this some weird UA sale?

Yup, I see LAX-ICN-BKK in TG J for 70k (should be 80k according to the award chart).

Sadly the "sale" (or whatever we're calling it) doesn't apply to partner F awards AFAICT.

I assume I should have said something like these should be merged?

Dittos for OZ and EVA. Thanks for the heads up. Think I'll renew my subscription to FT.

I'm seeing some intra-Asia TG F at the UA price. Tempted to grab it as I currently have a Y award on the same route and date but I'm not sure I want to part with 16k additional Chase UR points for such a short flight.

What is the route? If you are connecting through BKK and can get a 2+ hour lay over to enjoy the spa it's worth it!

KBV-BKK-HKG. Unfortunately the F space is only on the 8:00AM BKK-HKG so I'd have to overnight at BKK. OTOH I'm currently booked ET for that leg. Just don't want to part with half of my UR points. OTOH that's what there here for.

I'm indecisive.

FWIW, in the last few months I've gotten BR awards to price at the UA chart, too. ^
