The tag flight UA 895 HKG-SIN is now showing a delay of 3 hours with a departure time of 0045 and arrival into SIN at 0412. Looks a bit optimistic on that departure time unless they can pick up time on ORDHKG.
It is now showing an arrival in HKG of 1am, which makes the 0045 departure of the HKG-SIN a bit of a dream.

...and 839 LAX-SYD goes MX once again Sunday night.

Gotta start to wonder how United's record on cancellations to Australia compares to Delta or Qantas.

The only change I like from the merger is the opportunity to fly RDU-EWR-HKG and avoid 895. 179 can run late, but it's rarely 895 kind of late.

Not to mention the configuration of the middle seats in the PMCO aircraft C cabin.

Maybe there is some truth to the rumor that QF is going to restart SFO-SYD; it couldn't be worse than flying on UA.

Flight returned to gate twice - first time due to maintenance and second time due to crew time-out. The flight was then cancelled and we were accommodated on an extra section the next day. Total delay was approximately 21 hours. This was UA 869 SFO-HKG on Dec 17.

What compensation do you think should be expected as someone who has no status and someone who is premier gold? United is offering $200 voucher or 10k points but this seems really low given all the inconvenience in this situation.

1/20 UA 896 SIN-HKG (N220UA) arrived 2 hours and 2 minutes late due to aircraft availability. Ironically the aircraft arrived in SIN 4 hours 34 minutes before the scheduled departure for UA 896. Residual delay carrying over to UA 896 HKG-ORD.

1/20 UA 804 SIN-NRT (N797UA) arrived 1 hour 52 minutes late due to late inbound (See UA 895 ORDHKGSIN on 1/18). Residual delay carrying over to UA 804 NRT-IAD.

1/20 UA 888 PEK-SFO (N121UA) departure delayed 2 hours 15 minutes due to maintenance.

1/20 UA 838 NRT-SFO (N107UA) estimated departure is 1 hour late due to late inbound aircraft (1/19 UA 881 ORD-NRT).

Who would willingly fly UA when QF is an option?

Night and day.

Hope QF comes back to SFO soon.

UA 981/19 delayed 45 minutes. The KWI contractor is just unable to get this flight out in time. Lots of connections at IAD to DEN/SFO and LAX missed.

1/19 UA#895 HKG to SIN 7 hours late! Waited from 9pm to 4 am!
Haven't heard from them yet.
What's the best way to complain? Address and link? What to expect for compensation?
They canceled my flight day before from LAX to NRT. offered $175.

I don't know why UA does it this way to be perfectly honest with you, the flight per say wasn't cancelled. There was essentially an equipment swap. UA is subbing a 767-400 in place of the 767-300. I don't know why they have to show the original flight as cancelled.

Perhaps because the 767-400 is sCO and the 767-300 is sUA, and they operate under different flight numbers?

sounds like a pretty logical reason to me.

On that note, UA 969 has cancelled on 1/21/215. B777 FRA - EWR Mechanical
