That's my usual experience, especially the lack of a/c. To be fair, the airport authority is building a new South terminal that will help ease some of the problems.

I have to give him and whoever told you this credit for honesty!! For some reason, this excuse relates to me personally and makes me feel less mad at UA.

It is - but still frustrating. In the past few months I have had this happen twice to me - both UEX flights. The lightbulb in the light above the exit door burns out - and no one ever seems to have a replacement at the outstations... It is especially disappointing to be deplaned and then watch the crew take the plane out and take off empty - leaving you stranded....

The captain announced it in his PDB remarks. Then we spent another 20 minutes BC a door wouldn't shut properly. However, crew was positive and kept everyone up to date.

+1! it is refreshing to be told the real story, instead of some made-up excuse.

this run seems to be unusally frequently affected by IRROPS!

I'm really impressed by this, given that in this day and age everyone seems eager to pass the buck on mistakes.

It can get crowded. It's styled as a one concourse hub and flights are going all over the Americas at all times day and night. The a/c is def an issue every time we go and the CC is super small. Bartenders are always nice though... If you can physically get to the bar. At the end of the day PTY is one of the most efficient airports I know (worldwide) to transfer through. As long as they don't muck that up, I can look past the rest.

NRT-EWR 78

Horrible communication between pilot and ground staff. Pilot says 20 minute delay and ground staff says get off plane and go to lounge. After 4 hour delay latest is stop in SFO before EWR, still on plane over 4 hours waiting with few announcements. Delta here I come. This is becoming too common for me.
