BTW, I'd never been thru PTY. Did I catch it on a bad day or is that place a complete cluster? Packed, jumbled mess, no A/C in half the terminal (fans running everywhere),l and the Copa Club was worse than the terminal. Whole place seemed like a Greyhound bus terminal. Yuck!
It can get crowded. It's styled as a one concourse hub and flights are going all over the Americas at all times day and night. The a/c is def an issue every time we go and the CC is super small. Bartenders are always nice though... If you can physically get to the bar. At the end of the day PTY is one of the most efficient airports I know (worldwide) to transfer through. As long as they don't muck that up, I can look past the rest.
