In *A, mileage earning is based on the rules for the operating carrier
There are three key pieces of info needed
1. The operating carrier of the flight segment (how marketed / codeshare do not matter)
2. The fare class of the operating carrier. This can be a problem if purchased as codeshare because the codeshare's fare class is not relevant.
3. Program you are crediting

If crediting to United MileagePlus, see the partner earning tables to determine earnings (both RDMs and PQMs)

TK should see a UA R fare, on a flight operated by ANA, as an NH N flight, and credit accordingly.

Fare class of NH and SQ operated flights marketed by UA?

I'm planning to book some flights on UA's website that are sold as class K but includes segments are operated by NH and SQ.
What would be the best way to find out the true fare basis on the operating airlines either before or after booking?

UA K is NH K. On SQ most likely K, V or Q

And the good news is,
Purchased fare classes K, V, N, and Q are eligible for flights on and after April 1, 2023
. Those fares will now be status earning
