I have been 1k for the last 7 years. I received the challenge after asking for reconsideration in Jan. Maybe you'll have better luck emailing them?

My MP account received a PQD/activity update on 5 Mar that put me over the $15K challenge threshold. I then sent a notification email to both MP and GS. Online status updated to GS on 7 Mar. Awaiting credentials.

I guess I should email them as well. I have just been waiting.

Cleared the 15k earlier in the week so thought I'd call. Talked with MP who saw the challenge on my profile but said they actually didn't manage the GS challenge, which was in marketing. She then noted "you're account shows in review." So we'll see, still shows 1k as of now.

Just wondering for those of you out there that are GS... if you know your CPM for the year you qualified, I would be interested to know. Right now, I am sitting at $0.23/PQM, but with my upcoming business travel, I may end up closer to $0.40/PQM with approximately 120,000PQM's expected this year..... was hoping to gauge whether I would be close to hitting GS (speculating, of course).

PQMs don't matter. Calculate cpm by PQD/BIS miles. I've been pretty consistent at 45cpm over the 4 (3?) years as GS, initially transferred over from CO as Pres Exec Platinum, but at same cpm when adjudged to be GS at the end of that year.

I wasn't tracking PQD and I have a handful of LH segments included so its not perfect, but on a gross dollars / BIS i was at about 44cpm

Wish I could shed some light, but the reality is if the "urban legend" is true, it is the top 1% spend in a given market. Based on that, ORD, SFO, EWR may be equal. MKE, MCI, MCO should require less. But who really knows?

Was about $0.40 - $0.45 for the last 2 years that I have qualified. 1st year, traveled a lot of miles on domestic flights (Y/B/M class) and made it. 2nd year, didn't travel as much domestically vs. the year before, but did one really expensive international ticket that boosted me up and pushed me into the requalification bucket I think.

One of the years I was GS I highly doubt I was top 1% in spend... could be more like top 1% in profitability with some spend minimum...as most of my travel was domestic (A) fare.

Good point. I really meant to say that I think they select the top 1% in each market and then all others that meet the "secret criteria". Meaning if I am a top 1% in the MCO market, my spend (or profitability) may be less than someone in ORD and I might be GS and they are not.

Hope that is not the case as it may alienate many high paying (profitability) passengers in the bigger or hub markets.

In addition the mailing address of M+ members can be misleading in determining the principal location base of the flyers. For example, I used to split time living in DC and NYC, but my mailing address is in Florida for personal reasons. How does UA know which market I am really based?

perhaps the PQD/BIS method could explain the seeming disconnection in spend requirements in "small" markets compared to hubs. While obviously not true everywhere, I know a few small market flyers who end up paying a higher CPM simply because of the options they have.

Probably based on your top airport. If all of your RT flights start and end at EWR, then you're probably based in EWR. If you split your trips between EWR and IAD it's probably a bit harder to tell which would be primary, perhaps both.

All on UA metal? Seems unlikely (unless in SFO :p)

I would definitely ask for a review given those stats. (not sure if it is too late, but worth a try)
