Right now, I am sitting at $0.23/PQM, but with my upcoming business travel, I may end up closer to $0.40/PQM with approximately 120,000PQM's expected this year..... was hoping to gauge whether I would be close to hitting GS (speculating, of course).

_______________
2014: UA CPU 11/16 || UA PQM 23,758 || UA PQS 29.5 || UA PQD $4,398 || UA CPM $0.23 DEN|SLC|CLE|GRR|MCI|ORD|BTV|EWR|MSP|STL|IAD|LAX|SB P|SFO|COS|MSN

My spend has been over $0.40/BIS mile. I suspect if you have 100,000 BIS miles and over $0.40/BIS mile spend (counting only money United gets to keep) you will qualify. Only SFO flyers report (with any meaningful frequency) not qualifying with those types of stats.

You can always ask to be reviewed or try www.united.com/14gsreview

It's pretty amusing how people used to refer to SFO as a difficult home location to quality for GS. Then people start sarcastically saying SFO was easy. Now people are repeating that without the sarcasm.

Glad you're amused! :D

http://www.united.com/14gsreview. Put in the request a week and a half ago and two days ago, no response but my status changed to GS!

Apparently sometimes it works!

Thanks!

123k PQM
60 PQS
36k PQD

I am guessing it was a combination of my last years performance (116k PQM, 99 PQS, and 40k PQD) and the fact I have done that in under 6 months this year with 4-5 more trips already booked, in addition to the market I am in (FSD) which got them to green light me.

The fine print on that says that the "promo" ends June 30. FYI all. I'm going to wait and try my hand just before that. Thinking that my dumping of RDMs to fly LH F prior to the new award chart might work against me, though. That's got my PQM and PQD artificially retarded these first six months of the year.

Out of curiosity: Where are you based? What are your actual BIS miles (since that's what's used to calculate cpm)? Just to add more proper data points...

FSD is where I am based. I will get you actuals (BIS/CPM) when I am in front of a computer tomorrow, back of the envelop guess is about .60 cpm.

Bet your location helps too (when I was in AUS, was pretty easy)

Being 1k here since 2007, this year already spent $30 including several international Business P class, on track to spent around $60k and I will also be reaching my 1 million mile life time with united any thoughts or opinions if I should make the cut ?

Deekh8 Jul 12, 2014 12:09 pm

Are there any other places you can request to be a GS? Since this ended two weeks ago it won't let me register

See variables from data points above. Looks like >$40K pretax and >40cents per BIS mile (not PQM) is a good start, with further wiggle room based on home market/airport.
