Did you hear whether it will be PMCO or PMUA? Or mixed crew?

[RUMOR] SYD going PMCO 777 in 2014?

747 movement to Victorville?

Or perhaps a new 744 hublet in EWR to serve India and HKG?

787 SFO to China or Europe is fine. Keep it off NRT (shakes fist).

So if there is 744 movement out of SFO where are they going?

What about the 'synergies' of placing the entire fleet there?

I must say it is really strange NOT to see any UA 747s at O'Hare.

Everything that comes out of the UA PR dept seems like complete bunk. Gives the casual observer that no one knows @United what the bleep is going on with this airline. DL seems to have a fleet strategy. AA has a strategy. UA? WHO KNOWS?!? Let's make it up as we go!

744s back to ORD - IIRC, back to PVG, NRT, and FRA

I think in the future UA will definitely de-tag MEL, MEL has plenty of corporate contracts with UA to continue flying in the foreseeable future. The only thing they got Y going for them at the moment is their low prices, if UA was to offer MEL-LAX on a 787 or even MEL-SFO, their numbers and yields will definitely improve and UA could then be more competitive in the MEL market.

I'm just not sure if the 788 is fit to fly MEL-LAX/SFO non-stop, perhaps 789 or even the A350.

If this does play out the 744 will be gone from LAX.

I wonder if we are going to see more 3 class aircraft make their way to EWR.

I remember when the promise of the 787 was to open up new destinations...seems like UA will mainly use it as a downgauge tool. Too bad.

So it's confirmed that LAX - SYD as well as SFO - SYD will become 777 flights next spring. Additional changes include :

SFO - KIX - From 777 & 747 to 787
ORD - FRA, ORD - PVG, ORD - NRT back to 744s that will route thru SFO.

Changes should be loaded and bookable this Saturday.

I can't believe that UA is going to fly people from ORD to FRA by way of SFO.

I mean the 747s will fly routes that do a W pattern ie SFO - FRA - ORD - NRT - SFO etc. Not the passengers.
