Everything you want to know about 737-900 (739)

I did notice that SeatGuru doesn't mention anything about 16-inch Economy seats for any of the other three United versions of the 737-900. Do you know if there's anything different about version 4 (such as additional narrower seats other than in the last three rows)?

Misaligned windows
I’ve scoured this form and haven’t found an answer for the window situation in row 12 of the 739 v1/2. I originally booked with a 753 but they swapped to a 739. I booked jus regular economy but noticed I’m now 12 a which is listed as e+ on there website. What is the window situation? Did I luck out and snag free e+ seating at the cost of losing my view?

My memory is that 11 is the only one one robbed of its view.

that is the $1,000 dollar question. I like most people in this thread would probably take a view over legroom so I’m taking a small gamble by not switching and being stuck with no view. I think the window is just a little more forward in 12 and not missing completely.

I love window seats, but at 6'2" I will always take more legroom over having a view.

Which configuration is this, with row 20 immediately after row 12?
This is the 739 configuration for one of my upcoming flights. There is no row 14 or 15, and it does not match anything on the UA website. The big question for me is, which row is missing the window, row 11 or row 12?

The map does not match anything on the website because it is an interim one that tries to split the difference between configurations. When the actual tail is assigned, the map will match one of the options.

But don't all three configurations have rows 14 and 15? On this one, 12 ABC is open for seat assignment as E+, 12 DEF grayed out (maybe because it may or may not be E+ depending on the configuration), 14 absent (DEF may or may not be E+), 15 also absent (isn't it the same in all 739 configurations?). The flight is in 10 days, fwiw.

Not sure which version you were on but earlier this year I flew IAH-MIA on a version 1 aircraft in 12F and had no window. Must have been one of the most uncomfortable seats on the plane, legroom seemed even smaller than in other rows of E-.

Thanks, this is very helpful. I've flown on 739 a fair bit but never realized that only one side is missing the window.

737-x00 - seatmap showing fewer F seats (such as only 8) ???

In any case, you can expect the actual map to show up between three and two days prior to departure (around 3a central time).
