I found some better Ex Con bracelets than the one posted earlier. These have the logo on them. Was it one of these the OP saw?

I like see nothing wrong with these. Nothing is stopping the PMUA side from making their own.

I see some people don't like them. Have you ever seen the FUPM yellow bracelets a some of the CO pilots were wearing in previous years? I think those are a little tacky.

Have anyone seen an Ex Con pin? I'm curious too. If anyone knows where to get one, can you post the link.

Don't really mind

Don't really mind. In fact I want to know who is who so I don't say something nasty about Jeff or his coffee to the wrong team. Senior PMUA employees have been in open rebellion for years. They are generally quite open about their concerns. Of course it isn't the way it should be but these folks have been through hell including the drastic devaluation of their pensions. Why else would some of these seniors still be working the aisles? Maybe by the time Jeff gets all the planes painted they will have come to terms with their new reality. Most of them are too old and experienced to act like robots and speak according to scripts. The service culture in the US has changed for the worse.

I got a laugh on Tuesday riding the "prison bus" at IAD from main to the D corridor with a PMUA pilot. The pilot was having a conversation with another passenger about the crew of UA93, the passenger was misquoting the name of the FO, of who the pilot was as a AF personal friend of. After a bit of back and forth, the pilot commented that the new airline is "United in name only, everything is really Continental." I followed up with logo, font, shares, etc.

Speaking as a person who has flown on Continental Express more than Continental Mainline and continues to fly UAEX (ExpressJet). I can tell you there is almost no difference between COEX and CO mainline. The average passenger would never tell. Express was part of CAL therefore adopted all momma CO ways, and for almost the entire time they were the only RJ provider for CAL. To the folks at ExpressJet, they are not like some regional just flying for CAL; they feel as if they are an extension of CO. CO merged with UA and ExpressJet is also not their own company anymore with their merger. They are feeling a lost just as their CAL counterparts.

I went to Riddle and have a lot of friends that worked at ExpressJet over the years. They were proud to be "Continental" Express and fly for Continental. ExpressJet has the full CO culture and it is almost impossible to separate the two. Friends said when they flew for DL EX and UA EX it wasn't the same.

Also CO notorious consistency made COEX a carbon copy of CAL. They are family. In-flight what you can expect on CAL you would get the same on COEX. If there was a problem with COEX, you can talk to CAL and they would fix it. ExpressJet never felt like another company.

If you want to see how important Express is to CAL and us FF, just go to CO forum and see what happened when CO brought in Chautauqua. All hell broke lose on the CO forum. Humm… it’s sort of like the reaction some of the sUA people having towards CO. Chautauqua had a very big shoe to fill and in the end failed miserably. ExpressJet believes they are the best regional in the USA and after flying on several different regionals, I agree.

First time I flew Skywest for UA, I was surprised by differences between UA and Skywest. I avoid Skywest. Lazy F/A have never offered a beverage service between DAL and IAH. ColganAir and ExpressJet always do it

I hope that helps.

And, even more likely than that, it just getting ripped off in the baggage process.

By the way, while I think it would be cool to have an Ex-Con luggage tag, I won't be putting one on my luggage specifically because I could see some irritated PMUA employee making sure my bag was just a little too late for the plane or something.

Yes the are!!! My Continental tags are disappering at an alarming rate. I never had this problem before. Unforunatly I'm going to have to take them off or else I will have none left. I going to order a 100 of each kind so if they are gone I can just put a new one on. I have these three things on the top and side of all my suitcases plus my two personalized tags.

They are even taking my customized bag tags, but I don't mind. Those I can make more and it has the link to my Youtube page on it. They have a CO 737 taking-off on the front of them. Then a view from the seat of Continental plane with the Winglet on the back.

Being WI based I've spent a lot of time on CoEx, and am certainly aware of what broke loose when Chautaqua showed up. I was personally less than thrilled.

My confusion stems from the fact that Xjet flew for UA before the merger though. So in theory (I think) an FA and crew could end up flying a UA route and a CO route.

It does help. Thanks. By the by, there is almost no way anyone on PMUA or any number of other mainline carriers will say anything nice about Colgan.

Those look much better and a more reasonable shipping charge. I just received the ones from the link I posted and they don't look nearly as nice as the ones you posted. Now i will have two of each style.

Gordon Bethune's Posting in Facebook

I was a little intrigued by Gordon's posting on Facebook.

He has a message stating that you could get EX-CON bracelets (2 for $5) by contacting a certain person on FB.

Seemed a little out of sorts for Gordo...

Maybe a big commission for him? LOL

Yeah If I saw this too I'd be like "shut up." Your "ex-con" policies and culture are very much shoved down the throat of many at the "new" United.

It's nice to see the "ex-cons" resembling a logo that existed during the Lorenzo Era when CO was complete crap.
