$659 for HNL-IAH redeye flight from K to United First. I got the battle field upgrade anyway (#2 on upgrade standby list; three seats were available) when boarding began.

September 21 - EWR to LHR daytime flight, booked to K fare; When I checked in at T-24, buy-up was $829. 12 seats remaining; hoping it drops in hours to come. If it goes down to $400, I'll pull the trigger. Daytime flight in E+ is not awful, I can still be productive.

Anybody have experience with UA895 HKG-SIN? Will be flying it on Saturday, 9/24 having started on 895 having come in from ORD. If there is a TOD, would it be best to ask at ORD or wait until I get to HKG?

$79 for AUS-IAH on a reward ticket for a silver.
My mom is a plat and was offered $59. She was on a revenue ticket.
Offered during OLCI.
Didn't bite. She went out 20 deep on the upgrade list and I was at the bottom at 37

I am doing the ORD-HKG leg of UA 895 in E+ leaving on Friday so figured $309 isn't that bad of a deal. Used my Ritz Carlton Rewards Visa with the $300 travel credit (which I haven't used this year) so basically this is costing me $9 out of pocket!

After you check-in on the app, go to "My Reservations", and tap on "More Options" on the reservation in question. If there is availability (this is key), the option to TOD buy-up will be listed. It will say something like "Upgrade to First for $xxx".
