United Airlines operates an "air side" shuttle bus between Terminals A and C from 4:00AM to 12:00AM (midnight). In addition, United also operates a shuttle bus connecting Terminals A and C to terminal B (pier 3, used by Star Alliance carriers) from 1:00PM to 11:00PM, but not in the opposite direction (shuttle does not board at Terminal B). The shuttle bus is available at gate A28 and C70 as illustrated in the image above. The shuttle drops off passengers at the terminal B through the service entry, that requires walking up 2 flights of stairs - there is no elevator. Only the front bus doors will open for alighting at terminal B.This service is free and you will not have to go through TSA security again. No PreCheck lanes open at all in Terminal C tonight when I went through (8:45). Good thing I also had Clear or I would have been up a creek. First time I have seen the PreCheck lanes all closed at any time here…doesn’t make any sense.

They close at 2000. Try turning up at 2002 perhaps, and you'll see it seems they do so with some significant glee as well, unsurprisingly for EWR.

Any operation challenges at EWR for UA? Noticing a lot of long delays in recent days/weeks, despite little to no weather events. Other airlines at EWR do not seem to be experiencing long delays.
Here is an example:
UA54 (EWR to CDG) June 4, 2023
2.5 hours for baggage? Delay is continuing, and we are already past midnight local time. 2.5 hours seem generous; have seen multiple delays in excess of 4, 5 hours. Other long delay reasons: document check, security check.

I’m flying Polaris out of Terminal C with the family in a few weeks - any recs on which security line is better/easier/faster: TSA Pre Check vs. the Premier Access? Every time I feel like I’ve made the wrong decision so wanted to see if there’s any frequent flyer advice. Flight will be at the standard 5-6p European rush so we’ll probably be heading through around 3p…

Yep. Rail station. I was counting on the next one at 326pm, but everything worked out. Air train was actually running frequently today.

I’m flying Polaris out of Terminal C with the family in a few weeks - any recs on which security line is better/easier/faster: TSA Pre Check vs. the Premier Access? Every time I feel like I’ve made the wrong decision so wanted to see if there’s any frequent flyer advice. Flight will be at the standard 5-6p European rush so we’ll probably be heading through around 3p…
The Clear + PreCheck line was about 5-7 minutes long, the Pre-Check only line was about 12-15 minutes long, and the Premier Access was longer and on the other side so I couldn't see the exact length but it looked longer.
Would recommend PreCheck unless something weird is going on

Immigration hall was largely empty at the time. I think they have too much time on their hand, and he started busting my chop.
Went to MPC lanes as instructed. The female officer scanned my passport and told me everything was done correctly at the initial machine, and waved me through.

Photo taken no issues initially. Then the guy at the GE booth was like you have to do it again at another machine. Tried taking the photo again, screen said to see officer.
